I don't think Arians was taking a swipe at the Pats' secondary, but talking up the Dolphins' secondary. I think people are reading his comments wrong. He is saying that the Pats held the Bucs to 19 points and now they are facing a better secondary with the same system and knowledge of the Bucs' offense.

The thing I dislike about BA is he answers questions candidly. He doesn't hold anything back. He says it like it is on injuries or player performances. He doesn't gaf. He interacts with the media, laughs, makes jokes. I'm just not used to that.

He overcompensates in that respect because he has no real power and it makes him feel like he's "the man." Notice that all the pointed or provocative things he says end up being inconsequential or outright ignored. Even his "But ... but look at ME" moment after last week's game was summarily dismissed by everyone, except maybe those who laughed at him.

with that said, I don't think Arians comment is a slight against NE's secondary. We have a lot of guys who aren't household names. If he's disparaging our secondary, what does it say about his QB who only had 51% completion percentage against us and his team that couldn't score even 20 points?
