It sounds like he may not play Sunday either (did not practice).

Has had issues his whole career with health/weight/conditioning.

It’s pretty weird to nearly play for like a month straight, this calf may be worse than expected and he’s a rather large human which doesn’t help.

What happened when he was there? Did he not want to play?

What looked to be a week or two injury is now over a month. Yes, I am concerned, especially considering there is a big drop off in talent between him and Durant/Herron.
I would say at this point…hope he’s available for the Chargers Panthers road trip. That road trip is really going to make or break if we have a chance to get back in this.

He only gets motivated to play by a small, elderly, Italian man that cussed him out. He's said that he's scared of him. I don't think he respects anyone else.

Yeah this was my concern with the trade as he’s a large man and his injuries/conditioning are catching up to him. I don’t expect much from him this year and he’ll be gone in the offseason.

disagree with the 1 or 2 week prognosis... whoever made that was woefully underestimating how bad calf injuries are... they take a long time to heal, especially for a big guy like brown... a busted calf is as bad as a hamstring injury...

Amazingly, keeping Cannon might have been the way to go. I wonder how he's been for Houston. Guess we'll get a snap shot this Sunday.

absolutely not. Bringing him in on short money (dropping him from 14m guaranteed to 65m) is not an "awful" decision ... the raiders signing him for that huge deal was an awful decision
He hasn't fecking played. Jones is getting killed. Nuff said

ONE healthy O lineman at practice today...ONE. Do they (Pats) WANT to get their kid QB murdered before the halfway point or what?
Wait how did they even practice lol?

This. No matter how it works out with Brown, based on the fact he play at a very high level here in 2018, I think it was the correct decision to bring him back. The team needed OL stability, especially at T, with Cannon clearly being a shell of himself in 2020.

I feel some will argue "why get Brown and let Thuney go", but IMO it's not either/or. If Godchaux continues to be 'meh', then you could look at his and Anderson's contacts and wonder if they could've scraped up enough money between those two deals to pay Thuney ... hard to know. But it's tough to be too harsh on them for betting on Onwenu after what he showed in 2020.

Speaking of which ... does anyone wonder if Onwenu's iffy start might be related to fans being in the stands? He played his rookie season in empty stadiums, and played very well. He played in mostly empty stadiums during the preseason, and played very well. And then he started playing pretty lousy during the regular season, in front of larger crowds. Could be entirely unrelated and not causal, but it's a thought that just crossed my mind.
