Seems to me to be a lot for a new team to take on: Pay me like a top corner, yet I can't/won't play at 75%-80% level, whatever that means?
Now the quad is "good", but nothing on tape to verify that, but pay me like a top corner?
Because he wouldn't play without a new deal, apparently, and would hit them at $400k/week while sitting.but then why not just let him play the year out and let him hit free agency? He’s easily worth more to us than anything we can get for 5.8m for this season. Does bb see a decline in play?

Yeah, we'll see...should be interesting...It could start a serious bidding war though. Teams that feel that they will lose out if he becomes a FA will likely be willing to part with a lot more now....A lot of interested teams out there. KC, GB, Tampa, Dallas, AZ,Rams etc...i dont see anybody trading for him now that he’s about to be released

Gilmore for Godwin straight up...
If he really wants to be a Packer I doubt he gets $15 mill. They seem to be generally pretty conservative when it comes to free agents.
Just to be clear.I guess JJones isn't good either since he led the Patriots in tackles.
Lol…what planet are you on? That trade won’t happen for numerous reasons. Here are some realistic options that align with the Patriots needs.
- Mike Edwards, FS - Would start on most teams. Duron Huron type with excellent coverage skills.
- Ronald Jones, RB - Fallen out of favor but was #38 overall in 2018. I don’t like him, but he’s talented.
- Keyshawn Vaughn, RB - #76 overall last year; still developing as a James White type third down back.
- Aaron Stinnie, LG - Solid backup who started every postseason game when Kappa went down.
The years void in the contract (the player doesn't get paid nor does he play for the team) but the years don't void on the cap, in fact they accelerate (i.e. all hit the cap at once) when the contract gets voided. This is exactly what happened with Brady's contract and why we had so little money to spend on FA last season. What’s the point of having a cap if you can just water it down with void years?
Ok, he goes to GB then...sorry Bucs.
Eh, to be fair he has one already. Probably just wants to get paid.
I don't know why they would deal with a bunch of void years to keep princess happy when he is gone at the end of the year. They have changed that philosophy this past offseason. They know Rodgers is gone after this year and trying to win one this year.
I am guessing he was going to hold out.but then why not just let him play the year out and let him hit free agency? He’s easily worth more to us than anything we can get for 5.8m for this season. Does bb see a decline in play?
They (Tampa) probably don't and I get it.. As for the Packers, they have $7 million in cap space this year but has anybody looked at their 2022 cap costs?? They are $33 million OVER the cap for next year which means lots of cuts and restructures....I don’t think they care
It has been done several times over the past year with vets. Using the media to try to drum up late trade interest before making the release official.i dont see anybody trading for him now that he’s about to be released
