Patriots officially sign Jamie Collins

I’m expecting a rock bottom type of contract.
Same, Pats don't have much cap space anyway - a few mil at most. It's probably $1m or less. But he's getting paid a buttload from Detroit this year already so I doubt he cares at all.

Honestly dislike this move. Collins can't cover TEs and he disappears too often. That's what happened in 2019. He became a ghost during the 2nd half of the season..

I like it, Collins is one of those who get worn down very easily, he needs load management and I think we can afford that for him and this might be his best season in a while. We have the horses.

Collins doesn't bring anything the Pats don't already have. That's my concern..

If it wasn't for Uche being ridiculously held on that final TB drive, he sacks Brady in the end zone for a safety. Collins, to me, is a waste of space.

If he has an offset clause in his contract, it may be vet’s minimum. If he’s signing with the cash-strapped Patriots, my guess is that’s the case. He won’t receive any more or less, provided no team offers him more than the offset amount (unlikely.). So it would be a choice solely on preferred team regardless of money. If this is the case, the deal makes sense. They basically get Collins for free.

IF YOU LOVE SOMETHING, LET IT GO. IF IT COMES BACK TO YOU ITS YOURS. IF IT DOESN’T IT NEVER WAS

ILB next to Hightower is a need. Bentley isn't it

Collins is an elite pass defender. Think Roman Phifer

It’s stunning that Patricia was dumb enough to pay him in Detroit lol.

I’ll gladly take him here cheap! Hope it’s a two year deal!

Jamie Collins is a tackle machine. Look at his career log. This guy is fast and a good tackler, and also very good at pass defense. Should make Hightower a lot more effective just focusing on inside the box defense.
