There’s been some great football talk here for the last week. A lot of posters, including the “Tompa” posters brought a lot of insight aboit the game/gameplan. This is the first time I’ve watched a football game knowing both teams really well, so it was a great experience to see how the teams punched and counter punched.

None of the people you’ve claimed are “Bucs fans” have done anything except analyze the game and add insight. There’s been no TOLD YA SO! or anything like that. There’s been a high level of knowledge from many people…Patriots fans, homers, Brady stans…whatever. The discussions have been awesome.

As for you, though, it’s the same as always. Zero interest in understanding the game beyond a skin deep level. Lots of interest in trolling, tattling, stirring the pot…an insecure, petty man with absolutely zero insight.

Be a man and go to the thread, instead of whining like a *****.

Sorry if you missed the sarcasm. I've been spot on about the Pats for awhile now on a bunch of topics.

But yeah sorry I offended you, I know it's hard work being a construction worker, just not the best spot to be opining on draft or talent or franchise opinions about the Patriots. Or, do so but don't a d-ck, I love passion but will jump on people trying to gate-keep.

.

It's a ridiculous comment...it's offensive for a whole bunch of reasons and paints the person who would make such a statement in really ugly colors. I know very brilliant people who work, by choice or by circumstance, in menial jobs (my Dad, for one, way back when). I also know construction workers who know more about football than almost anyone on this board.

None of which has anything to do with the price of baloney in Afghanistan - unless (and I notice you don't clarify this) you've played and or coached football at a high level, you're just another a-hole with an opinion.

You've been right on some things regarding the Patriots and wrong on others, like pretty much everyone else on the board.

The problem I have with some of the posters is that they reside exclusively on the Bucs sub-forum...they rarely surface to the mainboard unless it has to do with Brady. Then you go and read some of the stuff like Carmelo or Deus write, it's pretty clear they are not Pats fans.

You want me to go to the thread and then you'll say I should be banned from that side of the forum...which is it?
I don’t think banning people from the Brady forum specifically is something we’ve ever done or ever intend to do. I would say @Ice_Ice_Brady has a point that it doesn’t really do anyone any good to post quotes of things people say elsewhere here like that. It does just kind of amount to stirring the pot and we don’t want that.

Deus from the Gronkaneers thread:

In all honesty, who cares what people post in the Tom Brady forum? That is a forum for Brady and Bucs fans. What they say of there is not anything I care about. If I did, I would go over there.

I will give you the same advice I say to the Brady/Bucs fans who come here. If you don't like what they post over there, don't go over there.

If Deus posts that stuff here, then I will care what he says. But that forum is for people specifically with a pro-Brady posting for other people with similar views. So he is writing stuff that is popular with people who visit that forum. If that is what they want to talk about over there, more power to them.

No offense, but I really don't want to read stuff from over there. I don't go over there for a reason and not just because I wouldn't be welcomed over there. I am a Pats fan and, although I love Brady, I am not a Bucs fan.

Sure, I get it...that's fine I'll try not to do that. It just annoys me that we literally have people rooting against Bill on this forum just so that Brady looks better than he does. That's not patriots fandom.

On a sour note we use to win these close games a lot when brady was the qb.
Yes this. Perspective. Lots of us are "celebrating" competitive efforts and individual stats almost as victories or bragging rights. Back in the day I'd use that kind of argument with my Yankee fan friends on how Wade Boggs was a better hitter than any yankee. Sox couldn't beat the Yankees is the standings but I'd hold onto stats for one up manship. The Pats have to deliver with actual victories. Let's not become the Colts and raise the "We almost won when everyone thought we'd get blown out" banners. Pats have to clean up the mistakes to win these close games.

As long as they are keeping it in the other forum, what's the difference. I think having their own forum where they can bash Bill and lament losing Brady and keep it separate from this forum is a fair compromise for everyone. It is better than Ian and the moderators being forced to censor or ban people because it spills too much on this board.

And Deus has let his feeling for Belichick be well known for a long time prior to Brady leaving here. I don't think he would deny that he was bashing Belichick a decade ago for some of the same things he bashes him for today.

Interesting...it's possible Deus took sides in the Bill vs Brady debate long before that became a thing lol...

More interested in what Jones would do with the Bucs' offense actually. Like to see him perform with a line that would protect him and receivers who consistently get open.

Keep seeing this but Tampa line was allegedly bad when Winston was there only difference is Wirts. Smith was a guy fans wanted released Brady gets there and he’s a top LT you probably get where I’m going with this

I think everyone left on the schedule is beatable, but the Pats are going to have to play mistake-free football the rest of the way. If they can go toe-to-toe with Tampa, they can do the same with Dallas, LA Chargers, etc.
But the Bucs' secondary was beat up...and Gronk wasn't there to help them out in the Red Zone...

OTOH, our OL is killing Mac and we are missing Gilmore....

So, yeah...we can play with ANYONE. The Cardinals and the Raiders have the BEST RECORDS IN THE LEAGUE RIGHT NOW.....LOL

Sorry, @moosekill, but you won’t be Top Fan two years straight. Rob takes the title this year.

Congrats, Rob! You’re 2021’s Top Pats Fan. Very loyal. The Patriots have seen fit to bestow you with a new banner. Kraft himself has made the request that you add this to your signature.

The “almost won“ banner for me is seeing Mac’s performance. It’s nice he can compete with the big boys, stand up to the pressure, and prove he belongs so early into his professional career. That said, if he wants to take the next step as a QB, soon he’ll actually need to win those games. Otherwise he just becomes a better Brian Hoyer. He’s only 4 games into his career, plenty of time for that, but eventually it’ll need to happen.

We used to get every bad team’s super bowl back when we were winning. Let’s hope this wasn’t our team’s Super Bowl, and they all feel deflated and pack it in after the loss. I doubt it’ll happen with Belichick and the veteran leaders they have, but it could. They need to take care of business in Houston and progress forward from this.

Winston threw for 5,109 yards and 33 TDs in 2019. You take away his INTs which was mostly because he makes stupid decisions, he would had a good year. And the Bucs rushed for about the same amount of yards in 2019 as they did in 2020. So how bad could the o-line be?

I want to thank all the little people.....

He's obsessed with me lol. Which is weird considering he uses to ask me questions about college and pro stuff but got mad after he was bounced from one of my threads. I honestly feel bad for him. He's been parroting the same stuff since 2011 and couldn't tell you a thing about the game of football.

I can honestly say I've never read a post of his that provides any insight or knowledge. In fact they're embarrassingly bad. The other day he said coaches should give the RB permission to block down the middle bc guessing which tackle to go to was too hard lol.

If football knowledge was required to post here there would about 10 members here. I've actually been made fun for using terminology, explaining stuff. We have some good members here but too many losers with agendas tbh.

Oh rob

Somebody was on the gameday chat saying we were moving the ball on a TB team that skunked the legendary Chiefs. This team is not that team. This year's Tampa team set its season record for stopping opposing offenses against... us. It was a very beatable D and it was a beat up, beatable D.

BUT I liked what I saw in terms of Jones' progress. Throwing TDs, plural, even against a sus D, can't be a bad thing. And his accuracy is off the charts.

We need better protection... I like the old kind of Scar we used to rely on, not the ones Mac is currently earning out there. Mac be all up in the ice bath like Lizzie Sidall the 19th century model for John Everett Millais' Ophelia who developed pneumonia after passing out in cold water and turned to Laudanum to which she became addicted.

So I mean, O-line needs work.

But defense? Are you kidding me? Belichick Belichicking, taking away that one huge advantage, daring Tampa to beat us on the ground, then holding Fournette to 91... which, given the strategy, could have been worse.

As for as our run game though... we need to let Rham out of fumble jail. He has learned his lesson. And I don't know what it takes to build this line back better, but somebody better sign that bill and I am talking the 3.5 T version not the little 1.5T physical infrastructure version.

How do I feel about this season? MAN I hope it gets better. How do I feel about the future? I feel like everybody has been worried how we can ever "replace" Tom. Well, the answer was always going to be "you don't." But after 4 games, outlines are getting clearer on the rookie. He's been nothing but impressive... but he does need help.

What? That’s airtight, hard hitting analysis from 2021’s Top Patriots Fan. If you just take away the 33 INTs Winston had in 2019, he had a good year. If you just add a few zeros to the end of your bank account balance, you’re a billionaire. I mean this is rock solid stuff.

I don’t care what Lazar says, that’s WIDE OPEN in the NFL.
