Wickersham book discussion

I never bet against Brady. It's why I didn't shut the TV off against the Falcons.

I'm not betting against Bill either. I thought he was going to do better than he did last year.

I was and am excited for Mac, especially after the Jets game.

Hopefully Bill will take the Pats to the playoffs this year
Playoffs???? I just hope we can win a game

Is there?

9 seasons without brady as his starting QB. Zero division titles

17 seasons with brady as his starting qb. 16 division titles
Yes there is.

Then start focusing on the GOAT coach.
He hasn't earned solo GOAT status.

He is one of the GOATs.

If Bill Walsh had Joe Montana for 20 years and he played at 40 like he did at 30, then I'm convinced Walsh would have won 6 Superbowls as well.

No HC had a HOF QB play with them for 20 years with no letdown in their play

Bill Walsh didn’t win 6 SBs. He won 3. Your “feelings” don’t change that.

There certainly is.

Bill Walsh only Head Coached for 10 years and won 3 Superbowls. That's 30% of the time he coached he won a Superbowl.

Bill Walsh also set that 49ers team up for 2 more Superbowls, since he got them Steve Young.

So if Walsh didn't retire he absolutely would have won 5 in 14 years.

Bill in 27 years as a HC won 6. That's a 22% rate.

There certainly is.
Listen he’s the greatest young coach we ever saw. What he did on the giants then on Patriots in early years was incredible. His drafts 2010-2012 helped fuel a second dynasty.

he’s now 70. He’s lost it a bit no doubt about it. I hope he retires before he really hurts his legacy with too many losses

Letting Brady walk and employing this fatso are BB's biggest mistakes.

Having Flores as DC for that one year after that long stretch of fat Matt was like a dream.

i loved flores great coach. WALDO Patricia can’t carry his jock strap

Your posts are consistently really bad. You're trying to paint the HC with the most rings on his fingers in history as a bad coach. Crazy person

Only thing to like about Matt was the Goodell shirt.

Knowing what he know about Patty O Tool, I’m surprised he wore the shirt. Must say it was very funny. Too bad he didn’t bring that personality with him to Detroit instead of his tyrant like reign

What is Bill Walsh's record without montana ?

Wrong.

Bill is one of the GOATs. I would never claim otherwise.

If he can win 1 more Superbowl without Brady then he will have earned solo GOAT status.

He is part of the solo GOAT HC/QB duo.

However, you are constantly trying to paint Bill as terrible.

Bill's job as a HC is to hire his staff and his staff is a direct reflection on him.

So if McDaniels is the piece of trash you keep claiming him to be, that means you think Bill is terrible

It’s all ridiculous. Patriots fans have witnessed the greatest run in history and so many of them can’t wait to trash the people who did it. It’s just so time deaf to me for someone to criticize the best who has ever done it as if they would do a better job. Appreciate what you were lucky enough to be handed.

You're doing some sh-tty claim based on years as a coach and then some ratio? You're literally inventing convoluted ways to try to diss the greatest Superbowl winning coach in history. Bizarre

What is Bill Walsh's record without montana ?
Probably similar to Bill's without Brady.

I'm not trying to place Bill Walsh above Bill Belichick.

I think they are on the same level of greatness.

Walsh was an offensive genius who drafted Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and traded for Steve Young.

Belichick is the defensive genius.

If you could combine both minds you would have the ultimate HC

It's not dissing nor convoluted.

Bill has won the most Superbowls, but that doesn't make him greater than Walsh.

Bill hasn't earned solo GOAT status. You don't like the facts I bring up because they hurt your feelings like Josh McDaniels hurts your feelings.

Facts are facts. Walsh would have won as many Superbowls as Bill has if he kept coaching.

That doesn't take away from Bill, it just puts into context his achievements and the achievements of other all time great coaches

can Belichick rebuild this offense? I have my doubts

he did a good job drafting Mac but first he let the GOAT walk away and take his superstar TE with him

Drafted Harris who can run but can’t pass block and can’t catch passes

drafted two third round TE busts then spent $60 million on two average talents to replace

drafted a 1st round RB over his all pro teammate then traded him for a 4th round pick

drafted a PAC12 jump ball WR over SEC superstars who have now become nfl stars

paid 13 million per year to a wide receiver who has stone hands

let our best o lineman walk in free agency

I have my doubts

Bill has had some terrible drafts.

Players that looked promising like Winovich and Bentley have regressed.

Jonnu Smith hasn't looked like a good FA addition yet either.

Hopefully it's just a slow start to season.

We really won't know how good this team is until November

great post. Belichicks ability to coach defense at the highest level is unquestionable
