Yeah but when you can only score 13 points and you gift them 14, its hard to really bash the defense.
The defense played really well for 3 quarters and that was without Uche, but when they needed to get the stop and 3 and out, the Saints ended the game. Just inconsistent football.

I think the Patriots win next week.

To a poster's point, Bill has usually won these hyped up games.

Can’t wait to see people take it to another level.

Let’s get ready to rumble!
Is saying I’ve lost all confidence in mcdaniels taking it to another level or is it appropriate?

All I see is a lack of leadership on this team. They seem uninspired.

I understand what you're saying, we're always very good as the underdog, but if we don't play any better than we did today, we're not going to be able to beat too many NFL teams.

Trying not to overreact. This is not a good team right now, period. Fortunately alot of the afc playoff hopefuls are struggling so if we ever do turn it around theres opportunity. We have ALOT to work on though.

Jonnu smith, if he doesn’t bounce back in a big way, will go down as the worst signing here by a margin. Only adalius is close and he actually contributed some his first year. Jonnu has not only been useless but has hurt us.

i had assumed jj Taylor could back up white at 3rd down back. If bolden is really next man up there trading sony was a massive fail. He was starting to do ok as a reciever and would be a much better option.

people will rightfully remember the defenses inability to make stops at the end today and week one but overall i am encouraged by them. Today i only pin 14 points on them after giving up 17 and 3 first 2 weeks. They play good enough for us to win, our offense just sucks right now.

Folk was perfect again, and we have to can the directional kickoffs. For the millionth effing time, Just let Bailey boom it out the end zone.

bourne played well. Agholor should have tds in all 3 games if mac hits him. Myers is what he is, solid but very limited still in what he can add. Henry has been ok, think mac has missed him a few times too.

The ol obviously is trash. We couldn’t run the ball, couldn’t paas block in half one but that got a little better half 2. Still a huge disappointment so far. You gotta figure if trent is out another week they finally make the change everyone is asking for.

JMD sucked too. The red zone sequence when down 21-3 alone would draw major red flags.

on top of all that, just looks like a sloppy, unprepared team. Key penalties, turnovers, drops, mental breakdowns, bad playcalling. Its a mess right now

I’m willing to be a lot of money they won’t.

No, people take these loses personal and will attack others.

I'm a bit confused as well. If we're being honest they didn't ask and do a lot of the first two games.

Today they needed him to throw the ball and he has 2 interceptions that were his fault, a ton of overthrows and a ton of 50/50 balls and ended with 55 QB rating.
1st one was. He should have taken the sack. 2nd absolutely was on Smith.

They have Slater, White, Andrews,Devon..all good leaders...when a team can't block and turns the ball over multiple times, they are going to seem uninspired.

If you're going to make an example of RStev for fumbling, then make JSmith inactive for a couple weeks. He sucked today, let D Asiasi get a chance.
His issue isn't the fumble, it was the poor pass protection.

We need to practice getting run stops in the backfield in obvious runs. I'm convinced a run heavy team like Navy or Georgia Tech would destroy us lol. For the sake of our run d I would even entertain the idea of going back to the classic 3-4 defense of yesteryears.

Isnt what happens when you clean house and bring in a bunch of high priced FA in?

Maybe Hightower is the leader on D but how about the offense? Maybe White was but he is likely done for the season.

growing pains here

no more bolden... put stevenson back in the line up...

and the o line has to do better...

The O-Line is all I can think of after that one. Constant pressure on Mac, run game non-existent. The 2 hand offs to Bolden when we needed 6 before the half were mind-numbing - well worth the boos it got. I didn't expect miracles this season, but I also didn't expect our O-Line to be such a weak point.

Mac looked a lot better than his stats suggest, but it was still his worst game to me in terms of accuracy and (to a lesser extent) decision making.

He's also the least of my concerns. This offensive line is early 2014 levels of bad and needs a change. It worked in 2014 when we shuffled the guards around and put Wendell in the lineup over Devey, and I think we're looking at a very analogous move with Onwenu to RT and Karras to LG. Please, for the love of god, never start Herron or Durant again.

Our big contracts for passing game targets look very questionable right now. Jonnu and Henry are undeniably upgrades over what we've had in recent years, but so far haven't lived up to $12.5M/year. Agholor has been fine, but again, not $13M level play. Could just be a matter of all the new faces still building chemistry, so I'll withhold major judgment for now.

The defense is inconsistent, and it's not just about the run defense. Jameis was able to pass pretty effectively to a WR group our corners (on paper) should have dominated. At least we have Gilmore coming back at some point.

Then there's all the penalties, which seemingly came at exclusively the worst moments. This might not be an anomaly considering what happened against Miami, but at least it's theoretically correctable. Only thing I can't wrap my head around is Bailey having a bad game for the first time in human history.

I just listed a lot of complaints, but you might notice I also paired each of them with a potential solution or reason to believe it could improve. Not all of those solutions will be implemented. Some will be implemented and not work. We'll see. This team has a ton of work to do both short and long term, but hey...at least we switched from fumbles to interceptions this week.
We can only hope Scar is sitting at home rolling in his retirement chair “honey, wash my coaching outfit, I can’t take this Any longer”

Offense looked completely flabbergasted NO brought pressure.

Apparently our coaches didn't see the Saints offense struggle against Panthers defense aggressively blitzing all game long.

Did Brady also take all the coaching IQ with him?
