Anyone else stoked for the matchup against Brady and the Bucs?

Then you can argue that all elite HCs are mediocre without their star QBs....in which case you bringing up Bill's below .500 record without Brady is pointless.
Not when we’re told time and time again by yourself and people like you that he’s also the GOAT GM. If he’s the GOAT GM, then he should be able to win without his star QB. He hasn’t, to date. He’s been a mediocrity. As a matter of fact, 7 years of bad drafts by the GOAT GM probably played a huge hand in Brady leaving since the team had to leverage the salary cap to fill those holes with higher-priced vets.

I’m sorry bringing up his record triggers you so much, but the facts are the facts. Citing the records of other coaches is a meaningless attempt at a red herring and you really can’t straw man your way out of it either.

Brady won a Super Bowl without Bill.

Bill the GOAT HC and the GOAT GM is a sub-.500 mediocrity without Brady.

Why the hell wouldn’t you include his time with Cleveland? He was the head coach, wasn’t he? He had assembled one of the better coaching staffs of all time there, hadn’t he?
No. He had no power in Cleveland. Just because something happens before you were born doesn't mean you shouldn't learn about it.

BB wanted to ditch Kosar after the 1991 season and Modell wouldn't let him because Kosar is from Ohio and the loser Modell was fearful of ticket sale drops. That's a fact.

Little did we know the real reason of Modell'$ concerns.

There are many members of this board who's loyalty is to the players and not the team.

They know who they are.
There are far, far more who whose loyalty is to the coach and not the team.

No. Tampa Bay won a SB and Brady had a poor NFC title game again with 3 INTs, so his D and run game stepped to protect him as an older QB. If that D didn't improve when they were 7-5 towards the end of the season, Brady has no ring.

His last 2 rings had a lot more to do with his defenses and run games than him. That's a fact.

Nope. The GM and Coach lead the team. Not just 1 player at QB. That's the difference. And, some of us are grown men who understand how businesses work and how important quality at the top is.

It all channels from BB down. That's why Kraft signed off on BB walking from the primadonna.

Correct, but who was shown the door? Brady.

BB stirs the drink, not Brady. It's hilarious that Brady thought long and hard about his exit strategy and picked the team that had money and the most talent on offense to make himself look as good as possible, yet was a 6th rd pick who was garbage until BB got his coaching in there, yet somehow Brady made BB.

Me, Me. Me. Giselle and Brady.

If you can't see he changed after his first 5-6 years in NE to what he became, I cannot help you. I am pretty sure BB has no interest in seeing Giselle ever again.

I can only imagine the stories we don't know tied to this.

BB is the greatest GM and Coach in sports history and Brady is the greatest QB in NFL history. I am just not going to try to rewrite history to protect Brady's supposed pristine image, when it's so very clearly not pristine. Ego and money ruin people and ruined Brady.
Funny, I have NEVER heard of a Super Bowl reigning QB CHAMPION being called RUINED.

I've also never seen a QB want to channel Peyton Manning in the postseason after winning this first 3 rings being Tom Brady.

Next.

Brady set the benchmark when it comes to comparisons by winning it all last year. Surely the GOAT GM and the GOAT HC can do the same with his time left here, right?
One went to a win now roster and the other started a rebuild, not sure if the expectations should be the same at least in the near future. I guess the way I see it, if BB wins onein 8 years with Mac and Brady wins 1 more with Tampa, I'd call it a wash

He only started a rebuild because he **** the bed in the draft from 2013 until last year. This year’s crop looks promising. Nevertheless, if he really is the GOAT GM, he should be able to build a champion without Brady, shouldn’t he?

More Team Bill than Brady Boys? I don't think that is the case.
That is most definitely the case. I’d venture a guess that roughly a quarter of this forum are more loyal to Bill than the uniform. Hell, one of them flat out admits it and selected his name to reflect that loyalty - BelichickFan. The guy was a Browns and Jets fan before becoming a Pats fan.

Yep. And you have to ask what this special treatment was. I wouldn't be shocked if Kraft built that TB12 facility for Brady with his own money. Fans of other teams have thought for years it was a salary cap violation, allowing Brady to make money on the side on NFL property.

And, it still wasn't enough for Captain Ego.
I think Brady wanted to break precedent because he's TFB and though he's 42 he thought he was entitled to a multi year contract. If I understand things correctly that was where the break came. BB wanted to follow the same usual formula and Brady wasn't having it. Which is fine he very much earned that right, but let's not make it to be a BB wanted Brady gone thing

Yep I think he should, just not sure he'll be here long enough to. If he's coaching til 2030 thats my personal **** or get off the pot line. But if he stops coaching in say 2025 and leaves the team in a good spot then, mehhhh. Edge to Brady but it wasn't a fair fight

Brain dead take. The World Wide Web is available. Brady surpasses both of them quite easily. Brady is the GOAT at the most important position in the hardest team sport. Neither Bird nor Orr can make that claim in their own respective sports.
And I didn't even mention Russell, 11 championships, and the last guy to bat .400, Ted Williams. Tom Benedict Arnold Brady is way down the list here in Boston.
