Hey look another thread by the guy that has some weird love hate relationship with his team. Anything to try and paint the Pats staff or organization as "sleazy"....just waiting to see how Cam being "Bamboozeled" is somehow a "sleazy" underhanded super top secret plot by Josh. Josh strikes again!

I’m wondering why after 45 years in the NFL Belichick would need to do anything to justify cutting a player who sucks?
Actually he should be planting positive stories to justify why he signed him in the first place, because that was the real bad decision

Cam was cut because he's awful as a starting QB and could/would not be a backup.

I was listening to Lombardi's podcast this morning (who obviously is connected to BB) and he reiterated again that the Patriots were perfectly pleased with Cam's work ethic, leadership in the locker-room, etc. So that is a tribute to Cam that he had matured in that way into a leader after a bit of a rocky start in his early years.

But this was a curious decision to do this video with your Dad (who in the past was a bit like a less flamboyant LeVar Ball) when he is looking for a new job. I know Cam loves his Dad to his credit, and his Dad (who said: "everyone knows I built him") clearly had a major influence on Cam's life, for the positive perhaps in most ways. But letting his Dad spout on about how Cam was done wrong by the Pats is a bit of a weird look, it reminds one of his Dad claiming Cam was done wrong in the laptop felony theft arrest (saying it was a "an egregious rush to judgment") and how he was done wrong in the NCAA investigation (of his Dad soliciting $120K-$180K for Cam's enrollment). I wish Cam well, but I agree this was a strange decision to do this "I was done wrong" video with your Dad. Is this really going to enhance your chances of latching onto a new team?

Amidst all the brouhaha about Jones & Newton, we never saw Jones take a snap with the first line offense, he mostly was in practice and on the field with a bunch of mix and match guys.

Probably when Newton went to get his foot checked out Jones had the opportunity to show what he could do with NE's best offensive players and performed well. To me it comes down to comparing a mediocre QB who did crap last year against a QB who learned and adapted quickly to the NFL who shows tremendous potential. Players getting beaten out by a new player happens all the time.

Posters defending a QB who can't ID a Mike but has been playing football at the highest level for 20 + years. Even if that's not something specifically for you to do its one of the more well known task a QB should be able to handle. Starting from high school never mind the pros.

How can you be a QB in the freakin' NFL and not know the pass pro? Wouldn't you want to know where the pressure was coming from? Rhetorical, I know you know the answer, as do I. Our HS sophomore QB knows where the pressure is coming from. Our freshman guys likely don't, but they will.

When Cam first joined the Pats he spent 3 weeks asking everyone their first name because he was trying to find out who Mike was.
