I remember reading that, but contrary to "those people" Brady WON a QB distance/accuracy challenge post 2001 or 2002 season.
I miss this post season "games".

Brady didn’t participate post the 2001 season. His first year was after the 2002 season. And if I remember correctly, he didn’t win the distance challenge or accuracy that year.

And the distance challenge allowed the QBs to take a running start to throw the ball where some QBs did and others didn’t. So it isn’t a great judge of arm strength.

But Brady did not have great arm strength out of college or his first few years in the pros.

The crazy thing about Jones is he looks more comfortable running the offense than Newton and processes faster. He's also really calm with rushers near him, he's not an indecisive spaz.
This is what I've been saying all offseason

With Mac on the field we saw a new team...with Cam on the field the similar last season team

Nordin was good i think he will be our kicker for a long time

Given Cam's snap count, it seems he's almost certainly won the starting job. If he doesn't play much vs Philly, it is a lock.

Someone mentioned it yesterday... with Cam last year and last night it was like expecting a Lamar Jackson offense but getting a Tebow offense instead. Great comparison.

I went to the game, got a hotel room and spent the night. Just got home! Had a blast! Mac>Cam.

Spotty maybe. Terrible seems harsh.
Reality is he wasn't very good in Miami either, their defense immediately improved when he got injured and replaced, that's why they let him walk.

A very reasonable take after one preseason game

About a month to go before we really know.

Not sure where to put this but Cam got Mac's middle name wrong, it's McCorckle not McClellan. Details, Cam, details.

.

Our running game looks really great

This is a fascinating paragraph.
Drinking and posting...when done right, it leads to some, let's say interesting posts.

Assuming Gilly plays here in 2021, I think Michael Jackson Sr. is making this team as the 3rd boundary corner.

He played a fair number of ST snaps as well, which always helps depth DBs make the roster. Long way to go but he's someone to watch now.

its night and day. Jones looked far better and ran the offense better. Newton still looks like it takes all his energy to throw a pass. Jones by far processes info quicker. I don't see why he isn't the starter especially now that we can rely on the running game. BB knows more than i do though so...

Watching last night's Meyers catch/non-catch, I've heard the theory that BB wanted to see how Jones would handle the 3rd down scenario and keep the flow of the game going.....BUT previously, wasn't it Ernie Adams' job to be the eyes in the sky and alert BB when to challenge a play?. With Ernie retired, who has that job now?? Was it a screwup or an intentional plan to not throw the red flag??? Just curious.....
