Could the Pats trade for Michael Thomas?

I usually don't put TOO much stock into personality issues since Bill seems to have a penchant for resolving those types of problems once a guy shows up in NE... but it's not like Sean Payton is some blowhard, so I dunno about this one. He seems like the type to constantly want to re-adjust his finances, and they've already invested heavily at WR - if you trade for Thomas then either Meyers or Bourne are your 4th WR and won't see the field a ton.

BTW, I was just throwing Gilmore out there as a hypothetical. I could be straight draft picks.

Again, I don't see it happening, but I figured I would throw it out there.

meh, i'm fine with Jakobi Meyers, way cheaper and does pretty much the same thing Thomas was a beneficiary of Drew "check-down" Brees
I don’t want the Pats to trade Gilmore for anyone. It seems BB defenses are more aggressive when he has at least 1 elite CB. Otherwise, the bend but dont break becomes extreme. That said, Meyers is a JAG, nice, but a JAG. Thomas is elite. Top 5 in the league elite. They are nothing alike.

Why do we want to trade for every disgruntled diva WR? Do you guys think they are unhappy, they'll come here, be coached by Mr. Dour and suddenly everything is right as rain? Rhetorical.

IMO, I think it’s more likely that he’ll end up in Jax with Urban Meyer again.

When Mac starts in week 1 we won't need good receivers. He's going to make everyone around him better. He won't be a diva who relies on high profile weapons like you know who
The bait is cast. Let’s see who bites.

Too much of a diva! Who cares that he can separate, run away from defenders, break tackles, and catch everything near him...

The Saints are already the second highest cap spending team in 2022, and that's without either QB under contract. They need either draft picks or rookie contracts in return, not a CB who would probably be getting something along the lines of $30M total in 2021 and 2022.

If they were a WR away from getting it done I would see the sense, but they are more than a WR away from a serious contender.

This team ranked 7th in defense despite missing Hightower, Chung, and Van Noy and couldn't stop the run. Had a ton of dead cap money in a reset year. Offense had a covid fog QB , no tight ends, and the only WR was Meyers yet they still went 7-9. Just went on a $230M shopping spree.

You don't think this team could win 10 games now ?

Has anyone watched these CB's this offseason, they need Gilmore... desperately.
****ty, isn’t it? Possibly going to have a good to great front 7 after the **** show that was last year, and we just pushed the problems to the back! Ugh.

Let some other team deal with this headache

Kaaron Rogers? Patty Mahomies?
