Is this sarcasm? Penalty kicks are random garbage. Imagine if the NFL decided the game on a field goal kicking competition? They should decide the outcome of the continent’s biggest game by playing the actual sport they’re competing in.

Ehhhh…I guess that would have been too risky to take a shot in goal when you’re unobstructed on a breakaway and about 15 feet from the net. A lucky bounce and golden opportunity and the dude just passes it up. England is such a cowardly team…moment is too big for them.

There is an easy solution for this: review every game from major tournaments and the top domestic leagues. Any foul which is clearly simulation results in a 3 game ban. It wouldn't eliminate some of the flopping where a small amount of contact leads a player to go down in a heap but it will stop the most egregious simulations where no contact is ever made.
