N’Keal Harry Requests Trade

It’s almost like someone was aware of Harry’s attitude problem:

I am OK with trading him for a 4th at worst….or another player that is also underachieving their draft status… otherwise, I’d rather see us keep him around…let it all play out. We have nothing to lose at this point…he was in real danger of being released in August…what team would trade for him? Can we even get a 4?

Can we even get a 4?

Couldn’t even get a sixth for Harry and a seventh. No one wants his contract…even a few million is a total overpay. The only chance for a trade is to swap him for another underachieving bust with a similar financial obligation.

He has done absolutely nothing to show any type of upside you’d see with most first round picks. His problem isn’t consistency, system, etc. He is just not an NFL caliber receiver…at best some team would get a #3 receiver ceiling on him. Not worth the financial investment for that low payoff. And it seems he’s a diva, too, with this recent public statement doing nothing to rehab that image. It comes across as delusional.

Trade him for Isabella please BB

A 4th? A 4th!!

It’s almost like someone was aware of Harry’s attitude problem:

Didn't it take him three weeks to finally get his a** on the field after he was cleared and eligible to play? That should’ve been a red flag to a lot of people regarding his attitude.

“Only Harry and Thomas remain after the Patriots cut Gordon on Thursday.”

Even they missed the memo that Thomas was traded when Brown signed.

Trade Harry to the Texans for a conditional 7th in 2023.

Yup the word is that BB and Caserio overruled the scouts with the Harry pick. They basically loved his 'interview' despite the scout WR ratings, cos what the hell do they know, right, it's only their job!

On the other hand Gronk fell asleep during his interview and is probably going to end up in the HOF when he finally hangs them up a couple years from now.

BB just can't pick the Wide Receivers. Only 2 long term home grown draft success stories in 20 years. Deion Branch in the 2nd of 2002 and Julian Edelman in the 7th round of 2009.

David Givens in the 7th round of the 2002 draft also...If he had re-signed here, who knows maybe he never gets injured like he did in Tennessee...

Sure, and they had him ranked 6th in the class.

They also had Parris Campbell at number 2 and Marquis Brown (meh) at number 3..with Riley Ridley at 7 right behind Harry, and Hakeem Butler at #8...Kelvin Harmon at #9, JJ Arceda Whiteside at 10...

So it's kind of a crap shoot, yes?

Who's #1, 4 & 5 ?

Disregarding the others for the moment:

Campbell's had both seasons derailed by injuries. In the opening game last year, he had 6 receptions on 9 targets. In the second game, he popped a pair of ligaments in his knee and was done for the season.

So exactly how are you counting him in your analysis here?

Was waiting and hoping this kid would develop into something he was advertised to be, now he wants to be traded..

Don't let the door kick you in the ass N'Keal.. not sure the grass is gonna be greener anywhere you go.

This is smart on his part. Anywhere is probably better than here because he can't show worse than what he has done the last two years.

Kid’s just soft, perfect opportunity with a new young potentially accurate rookie QB entering and he doesn’t want to compete. Don’t trade him, force him to come and put up or shut up.

You never know what will happen. Remember that a team trading for him would only be on the hook for his remaining salary ($1.4M this year, $1.8M next year), not his total cap hit for the Patriots. His 2021 salary is fully guaranteed, but that's not an outrageous amount if he gives you even WR3/4 production.
