Celtics 2021-22

depends on who stays…..I think the midget/giant/bodybuilder experiments are over…right now:

tatum, brown, smart, rwill, gwill, Pritchard, Langford, nesmith, horford, Thompson, Parker, mbrown are on the team….my suggestion?

- bring back Fournier
- try to bring back theis and dump Thompson
- bring in a solid vet 1

5 - rwill, mbrown
4 - horford, theis, gwill
Wings - Tatum, brown, Fournier, Langford, nesmith
Guards - smart, Pritchard, vet 1, rookie 1/2

I’d even see if olynyk would come back for short $

Yeah I'd like to see Fournier re-signed also...We really need a 2/3 with a consistent stroke.

I stopped following cap angles, and new trade/signing rules a few years back, when I pulled back from most of basketball. But, it seems to me that a better approach would be to sign/trade Fournier for someone like Ball, if that's still possible.

Then, if Beale decides this is the year to get out of Washington, the Celtics could look to trade for him, which could lead to something like

Ball
Beale
Brown
Tatum
Horford
Mr. Glass

to start building around, with others currently on the team being penciled in if they weren't included in the trade for Beale.

What you’re suggesting won’t happen because the wizards will get substantially more for Beal from other teams than smart and Fournier plus picks and flotsam

None of them are really, but ya gotta sign somebody...He'll have just turned 29 by Halloween, so maybe a 3-year offer + an option 4th?
i think they can spend the money more wisely. They need a true point guard.

who's a true point guard?

right now, a name being thrown around is CJ Mcollum, but even if the Blazers are looking to move him, Smart, draft picks, and sign/trade fournier may not get it done

3 of the 4 teams left in it right now are primarily draft built.........that hasn't happened for a long time

If you know what you're doing, that should be the way to do it.

of if you get lucky......like drafting a 6'8"/190lb guy and he turns into a 6'11"/250lb guy

and then get unlucky just when you think you're heading to win it all, get upstaged by a 6'1"/180lb guy

also starting to look like the Young for Doncic deal might not be all that for the Mavs.....sure as hell looked that way early

Lol he claims he was hacked. Boston may have its racial issues but the Celtics have been ahead of the curve in a lot of this stuff.
Boston absolutely has it's issues, no doubt. But I'm tired of it being tied to us though. Like New York or Philly are any better? It gets me every time. Boston has made a lot of progress. Let's stop pretending we're on par with southern states where you'll see the Confederate flag on beat up truck.
He got absolutely roasted on Twitter.
He's never living that down. Twitter has become an awful place lol. He'll have people dedicated to him responding with "Hacked?" for years.

I ass-ume you're referring to Antetokuonmpo...Do you have a link to that 6'8/190 claim?

EDIT: Never mind, I found a link...He was closer to 6'9 however, but your point still stands...Another point that still stands is that at 6'9/190+,
he was sure as sh!t better than an old, maxed-out-already Olynyk before the draft even started.

To whom are you referring here?

Young's a better passer, especially in the paint naturally, and surprisingly a better free-throw shooter; whereas Doncic's a better spot-up shooter & rebounder...The trade's a wash if Cam Reddish doesn't improve...

you didn’t know a thing about Anterokuompo…..to say that you knew this is what he would be is dishonest

So, on the radio yesterday, they said, without explaining, that a s/t deal for Ball is impossible. It's too bad if that's true, because working some kind of Fournier for Ball swap would have been a really good start to a long term overhaul.

Either Ball kid has a lot of trade value. Basically young jason kidd's. I don't see why any team wouldn't laugh at an offer for Fournier.
