NFL's Coaches rankings

A few years ago, in a playoff game against the ravens, bb used funky offensive formations to perfection and that helped us get a win when we were down by two touchdowns.

The opposing head coachharbaugh (currently ranked 4th) was schooled. It was so ugly that in an interview after the game Brady suggested harbaugh read the rule book!

granted bb stole that from saban, but bb kept it in his back pocket until the perfect opportunity to use it.

if I remember correctly, there have been three or four times the league had to make rule changes because bb outsmarted everybody!

how many other coaches can say they caused rule changes?

bb is not only the best, but the number two coach is 8 floors below bb’s penthouse view!
That was a great game.

BB didn't call a timeout. The entire Patriot fan base was screaming at their TV, "Call a timeout Bill!!!". That supports your mindset point. But if he forced Seattle into that offensive play call by putting a certain goal line package on the field then that's Bobby Fisher's Sicilian Defense and it was a genius move.
I can't say for sure what happened, but it is worth noting that that was the only snap all season the Pats had 8 DL/LB on the field. And if SEA had only had 2 receivers, it would have been 9.

Hey Ash with all due respect I really don't think that's true re "posters being fans of other teams specifically the Bucs". We're fans of TB12. The player not the brand I hated how he left and the circumstances leading up to it and I was vocal about that but I was always a fan and always will be and it's exciting to see he is in a great situation there.

News about his team is interesting because it impacts Brady. If he retires today I doubt there will be anyone here on the Bucs bandwagon and I also don't think anyone here will be cheering for them anyway in week 4.

As for Bill, he is GOAT coach, I'd rather have nobody else - but he's also far from perfect. No coach is perfect. All last year proved is he is not a magician either nor is there some magical "system" here in NE that wins championships regardless of roster. Talent matters especially at the most important position of all... probably more than coaching does.

Of course folks would jump off the bandwagon if Brady was no longer with Tampa ... that doesn't mean that at present that those individuals aren't Tampa fans; they are.

I can't personally bring myself to root for Tampa but I don't mind if others do, and I still appreciate and support Brady. My only issue as of late is the constant Brady or Belichick conversations that occur; they've been going on ad nauseum for awhile now.

Food for thought.

If BB goes 5-11 he’ll move to 285-147 as HC and 0.659 win %age

And if Tomlin goes 13-3 he’ll move to 158-81 as HC and 0.661 win %age to become winnigest active HC with at least 100 games !!!!!

To anyone curious about all-time on that list it looks like this currently

1. John Madden 0.759
2. Vince Lombardi 0.738
3. George Allen 0.712
4. Blanton Collier 0.692
5. George Halas 0.682
6. Don Shula 0.677
7. Bill Belichick 0.673 * Currently Active
8. Paul Brown 0.672
9. Tony Dungy 0.668
10. Mike Tomlin 0.650 * Currently Active
11. George Seifert 0.648

BTW on another note, does anyone know why Blanton Collier is not in HOF? He took over from Paul Brown and his Cleveland Browns reached the NFL Championship 4 of the 8 seasons he coached, winning once against the vaunted Balt Colts. And he continued to do well after Jim Brown retired.

those are some amazing win percentages... but I hold a bias against coaches in the pre-salary cap era

....poster on this forum that is on other posters "ignore" list.....

I'm neurotic and am extremely curious how many people have me on ignore. I know you can't tell me WHO has me on ignore, but any chance you could PM me the number of people?

This is really important to me

Not even when they play the Dolphins Jets Bills and Colts this year? I want Brady and the Bucs to whoop them all. Helps us.

Patriots fans are not cheering for the Bucs in week 4.

I put someone on ignore for a second just to see what happens and it's a tough look - way to go through the forum.

I'm interested as well. I would mute my rambling arse.

The board needs a true ignore I think. You can still see when an ignored poster is being replied to even when you're not "Showing ignored content".

Who are all these fans here who've converted to Bucs fans?

Well needless to say my ego took a boost after i found out the number hehe

Thought it would be WAY higher with some of the divisive topics i decide to dive head first into lol... sometimes on a weekend after drinking

Would you say Tony Dungy (salary cap era) is under-rated or just lucky he had Manning? Also what do you think of Tomlin?

Not a bad coach. Suffers from the same delusions most in the league do. Not a hot head. His celebratory treatment of Ben Dreith on Twitter is as repulsive as everyone else's. The NFL has done a spectacular job of erasing December 18, 1976. More Americans know about the Tulsa Massacre than are aware of the biggest robbery in American professional football history.
Also what do you think of Tomlin?
Um, well, I guess he's not a worthless racist like Halas...

...I'm tryin' here...
