June Jones (former NFL head coach) had Mac Jones ranked over Trevor Lawrence

Exceptional deep ball thrower, who excels at leading his receivers in the middle of the field. Get that kid Julio and play a bunch of 12 personal with NA and JJ on the outside. I don’t think there is a quarterback that been drafted, that has walked into a better situation, for as long as I can remember.

Love Julio, but he's on the wrong side of 30, coming off a significant injury, makes 15 million this year AND the Falcons want a 2nd round pick for him. No way Belichick is going to do that. They wont be able to lowball the Falcons, there will be too much competition for him. And Mac probably does not see the field this year.

Got admit I’m super excited to see what he can do. If you go back and watch the clips you can break down the td throws. There is a video out there of all 40+ td throws he made at Alabama. Sure he has the athletes and some of those you can easily tell it was the player. But a lot, and I mean a lot of those throws were placed right over the shoulder, on the money in stride. I can see why a lot are saying he has the best deep ball because the film don’t lie.

If watching football has taught me anything it's the QB still has to make the throw and in college, Jones did. Let's hope that translates.

No way you say? Are you willing to give me those Vegas odds?

And our OC thought Tim Tebow was worthy of a first round pick. Sometimes people think stupid things.
Costner did Waterworld, Klum was with Seal, STL traded Brock, Gates poo poo’d the internet... people are USUALLY stupid...

Typical... Jones always stick together.
Julio, June, and Mac. MacJones of Clan MacJones. There kin be anly woon.

The Highrounder

I think I missed this one, but it is interesting…

when you have over 5 seconds to throw the ball, it is easy to be a great deep ball thrower, especially when you are throwing to what could eventually be 5 or 6 first round wide receiver picks.

Have seen quite a few of his throws by now. Don't recall the receivers bailing him out on bad throws being a theme.

he was also accurate when under pressure, when playing injured and repeatedly hit his receivers in stride whether they were closely covered or not. he played his best in the biggest games and also had the best season statistically for a qb ever. sure he was on a great team but he was a part of why that team was great.

No June Jones discussion thread?

Mac Jones is the best QB in the draft (Kyle Wilson is also good). I watched his tapes again and wow! Quick release, does not bird dog recievers, can take a hit, and is exceptionally accurate.

The big story is the colossal screw-up by the 14 teams before the Patriots that did not take Mac Jones. San Francisco was the biggest screwup of all; we should start a poll to see when John Lynch (Mob) is fired. After the first few weeks of camp? End of training camp? Or the end of pre-season when Mac is lighting it up. No way John Lynch makes it through the whole season. It is like Draft Day without the happy ending.

A hamstring isn't a significant injury. It can be a nagging injury for a couple/few months, but it's not an achilles or an acl or a torn labrum.
