Did not even know who Jemele Hill was, without regard hearsay.

Donte Stallworth, thought he was in jail? After review he got off..

Yeah, Stallworth got out of jail so long ago that he actually had another Patriots stint afterward.

I don’t think they’ll go into the Patriot -gates all that much. If they were it would be advertised cause people would watch that topic.

If you read the promo it says that it will feature BB... further on it then says:

"Participants interviewed for and appearing in the program include Chad Johnson, Mike Ditka, Plaxico Burress, Donte Stallworth, Jemele Hill, Bill Romanowski, Jim McMahon, Ricky Williams, Kyle Turley and Lincoln Kennedy, we’re told."

In other words the take on BB will rely on hearsay information... with the exception of Ochocinco, none of these players played for him.
Donte??? IIRC he has always been respectful of how BB treated him after the traffic accident/death in Florida..

Only question then is: What's the "Dark Side" of Bill Belichick, specifically? It can't be about being a hard-ass as a coach, because he's not alone there. There have never been any scandals or questions about improper practice time or things like that. He's never had any real off the field scandals in his personal life that I can recall. And if anything was just about some generic nature of coaches and what they'll put players through in order to win, why is it specifically about BB? I can't imagine what Dark Side the general public would care about if not the gates.

I saw the preview last night. 100% hit job coming

After going 7-9 it is welcome.

Pats drop $150m on guarantees in FA and reload
Pats seemingly have a great draft and land their next franchise QB

Back to normal.

A day of reckoning is coming.....

Hard to say. I'm sure they'll mention spygate but I'd think they'd advertise it if was the main focus and especially they were uncovering anything new and Vice also has an investigations feature. Deflategate was focused on Brady so I don't know if they'll spend time on that.

In the Lawyer Milloy 31-0 game CBS had a bunch of ex Patriots on the broadcast accusing Bill of "not caring about his players" and we all know about they hate their coach. The Butler benching might be the most controversial coaching decision of all time. I'm sure there will be plenty of material about Bill as a coach if they wanted to look at his "dark side".

You guys are aware that the list of former athletes and celebs listed in the article are those from the whole season and aren’t necessarily relevant to the Belichick episode right?

deflategate is about brady not bb and if they think the pats were the only team taping well then they're dumber than i thought.

Jemele Hill will find some way to make Bill out to be racist.
She’s made quite a career out of race claims and baseless accusations, so this would be nothing new.

She’s certainly not kept around to provide any meaningful insights as far as X’s and O’s for any sport. Not like she ever has.

There is literally no reason to believe that Hill has anything to do with the Belichick episode. There are 6 episodes.

There are other possibilities, but I see two ways of how the Belichick episode goes:
  • As Dr. Pain posted, it's a hit job. All the scandals, large and small, are rehashed as 100% true and there is plenty of speculation that there's even worse stuff that happened/is happening that we'll find out about eventually. Or maybe not, because the league is covering it up (which the league could have done with the deflated football and sideline camera debacles, but didn't, for some reason.) They might as well have Bill Polian and Marshall Faulk narrate the episode.
  • It's closer to what Sicilian said: Everyone thinks Belichick is this terrible guy and there's all this negative stuff associated with him, but is that really the case? It could be something like, this clip on SportsCenter makes him look like a bad guy, but here's all this positive that doesn't make the news.
If I had to guess, I think they'll go with the first option, because there's an audience for that conspiracy, excuse-making nonsense. It's interesting that there is an episode about the reputation of the 70s and 80s Raiders. There's always been the perception that the Raiders bent or broke the rules and that made them cool. Two or three weeks later, the same show is going to say Belichick bent and maybe broke the rules and that makes him a very bad person.
