"Bucs roll"
"Poor Bill"
"I'd take the Bucs here at -13.5"
"Feels like a mismatch here"
"Can't see how the Pats compete here unless there are key injuries on the Bucs side"

That's a Patriots fan, right? Because if I didn't know better I sure wouldn't think so. I understand not being a complete Homer, but what genuine fan would actually say those things about the team they root for?

I don't get that mentality/approach to fandom.
I take it that's directed at me. I never said in any post anywhere that I hope those things happen.

This game is the biggest non playoff game for this team in a very long time. It means a lot to both Brady (and Gronk) and Bill, and there's no point pretending otherwise. The Pats are stepping up in weight class when they play the Bucs. I think the champs are a much better football team than the Patriots at most positions right now, Pats have an edge in coaching but not much else. We saw what the champs did to Brees, Rodgers and Mahomes. The Pats have a major problem at QB as long as Cam Newton is starter, and their strength on offense which starts with Harris just happens to match up poorly with the Bucs strength on defense. And as we all know, this team generally starts slowly while BB figures things out. The Bucs game is right in that window. All of that is the basis for how I feel about this game, I think they probably will come to play and hang in there for most of the game despite the mismatch on paper but I'm not optimistic otherwise. I will still be cheering loud for the Pats to make a statement and win this game.

And if the Bucs do blow out the Pats the noise directed at Bill and the organization will be loud. Maybe "poor Bill" was a little carried away - he did handle the Milloy fiasco just fine and that was a lot of noise too.

The biggest games are divisional games. The Bucs game is the least important game as it is a NFC opponent.

It's a fun fan game, but in the end its about getting into the playoffs and being competitive.

OT: Brady’s never played a game in LA.

Anyone who doesn’t understand a half baked term you don’t care to explain? What is “a running team”? You mean the team that just drafted a QB in the first round and spent more money on pass catching skill players than any team in the NFL? The team that let their best run blocking guard walk to afford the new receivers?

You seem to be implying Bill has lost his mind and is now a reincarnation 1998 Bill Cowher trying to impose a stupid smash mouth approach to every opponent.
Bill is trying for a smash mouth offense. Yes. That is what I'm saying. To counter the trend to go light on defense.

As for our WR haul, I'm happy we got those two. BUT Agholor and Bourne are not really scaring any teams in this league. They may be very fine players, but let's get real here.

We are a running team. Our QBs forte is running. He may not be a runner like Lamar Jackson, but the offensive concepts will be the same.

Love Brady and I hope the crowd does him right and gives him a standing ovation before the game. During the game I hope they kick the living crap out of him.

Never understood why AV was booed. That was unfortunate. I hope Brady is treated better than that.

I would agree to a certain point. I think they will be more balanced with the TEs up the seem, and the two new WRs outside. It'll be clock management, smashing the lighter defenses and keeping the other offense on the bench. Then chewing up clock in the 4th with a lead by running.

Will always appreciate Tom, his GOATness and how he has made my Pats fandom seismically better but hes on the other team now playing us so....

Same with Gronk. When those guys, especially Brady are done with football and return to Foxboro, you'll have a hard time finding anyone cheering harder for them than myself. Until that day arrives and they are playing on the same field opposite the Patriots, crush their bodies.

Tom wants nothing more than to win and and in the process hang a 50 burger on the D.

Anyone who thinks he doesn't was asleep for the last 20 years.

Right. No one said they will run the ball 100% of the time.

I compared our offense to Baltimore's and Lamar Jackson. We're one of the few offenses in the league that like Baltimore ran the ball more than 50% of the time.

In fact, Lamar Jackson runs it himself 29% of the time when he is behind center.

Cam Newton runs it 27% of the time when he is behind center.

(Unless my calculations are off, I just added Cam's running attempts to his passing attempts, then divided his running attempts by the total.)

I see one, maybe two people like that in this thread, and they've been universally ridiculed and laughed at.

Other than the one (or two) obvious troll(s), there has not been a single person in this thread who hasn't shown anything but appreciation and respect for Brady and what he accomplished in New England, and rightfully so - TB12 is the GOAT and a legend.

The notion that there's a meaningful anti-Brady contingent on this forum is a myth.
The thing is though the obvious trolls hijack the thread with memes and comments that mock and belittle Brady and Brady fans and they do indeed parrot the talking points rival fans haved used over the past 20 years to diminish Bradys accomplishments. Then they call him the goat to look fair. Its like giving your wife a minute of lip service telling us she's great but then spend the next hour and a half complaining about all her faults and making fun of her and her friends.

You have a very funny outlook on "using facts" vs "making up".

What exactly hurts you so bad, you think it's "made up"?

Manning's first two years?
Winston's pick 6's?
Winston's 30 something interceptions?
Winston's 40 something turnovers?

Who paid you to input this dumbazz comment?

Seriously, if you are so shaken by the data, why are you here?
Here's the data:

NE went from 5-13 to Super Bowl Champions when Brady took over.
TB went from 7-9 to Super Bowl Champions when Brady took over.

Everything else is just you being phenomenally ignorant (as per usual).

I would have to say the undying and unwavering loyalty to one guy is almost cult-like, and quite frankly, its creepy that you guys cant seem to let him go.
As opposed to the people blindly loyal to laundry? That's normal and not creepy??

So what?

Brady aint your wife.

Brady dont give a rats ass about what you think or say

Brady doesnt care if you cheer him or boo him

Brady wants to grind your (supposed, i guess we have to think now) favorite team into the ground come October 3

Love the guy for what he did, but this Brady Brady Brady stuff is too god damn obsessive ... He's moved on, maybe its time that you do too?

Edit: Grow up. Moving on doesn't mean you adopt rival fans talking points and feeling compelled to mock and demean him in order to keep your Patriots fan card. He's still playing and im still a fan. Im also a Patriots fan and have season tickets. I drive 3 hours to get to Gillette. You dont have to be one or the other you can be both. The wife thing was an analogy, duh. Belichick dont care about me or you either. I mean if he took a job coaching another team i wouldnt mock and dismiss his coaching greatness toprove hiw much a Pats fan I am.
