Bye, bye Byrdie...

I think 700+ yards is a lot to expect of Zuber, but I could see him progressing this year to something like Meyers in 2019.
Absent injuries, Zuber is not going to have opportunities. We have Agholor, Bourne, Meyers, Smith and Henry as our 5 WR/TE targets. Gunner will be active. I don't see our #4 WR even being active unless there is an injury. And, even then, we will still have 4 WR/TE targets.

Counting the TE's, what's the last New England receiving corps you would consider stronger than this group?

I think Cam hurt the receiver more than the receiver hurt Cam. I liked Byrd. I would take Byrd over Harry everyday of the week

Unfortunately, you do not have ear of our GM.
He took Harry over Metcalf, AJ Brown, and Debo.

Given the general overall suckiness of our current WR room and the need therefore for better depth, I'm not comfortable saving a spot on the Game-Day roster for somebody who's a Punt-Only (because he sucked at returning KOs) returner, even if he's very good at returning punts...

Gunner Has to show more versatility than that, especially if one or more of Nixon/Zuber/Wilkinson/Devin Smith demonstrate an ability to help on the outside where we have only Agholor & Harry...

Yep...was just thinking the same. Gunner is a nice person...he works very hard apparently. I'd like to see him step up more at WR (if given the opportunities). Otherwise I'd like to see him replaced with a better WR that can possibly KR. I think BB is going to sign a FA in the next 60 days that's possibly going to take Gunner's job.

There have been guys that are suppose to take Gunner's position since he showed up. He was an AP special teams 1st Team All-Pro last year. If Gunner was going to be replaced, it would have already happened. The guy somehow keeps getting better (beyond what his physical stats would suggest IMO).

Anything can happen: injury, disgruntled, trade, release. I hope he stays and probably will in 2021.

I'd like to think Zuber will get the same opportunities that Gunner gets.
