Love it .Gives me more time to tailgate.

Bumping for those who didn't see this yet.

Another freaking late-season night game. Why don't they just schedule the rest of the season and playoffs for midnight and be done with it. I like football in the daylight.

I don't really care what time they schedule the games for, I just wish they'd stop moving them around. I have a Patriots wallpaper on my computer that has the original schedule, and it's no longer going to be accurate.

:bricks:

They better move that Eagles game out of prime-time. These night games blow.

3:15 is still daylight.

I don't really see what difference it makes. As BB would say, it's the same for both teams. If anything, it makes it easier for the players to have the a more similar routine every week, with most of the games starting in late afternoon or evening. And as the cold weather sets in, it strengthens the home field advantage over warm weather or dome teams.

I don't get it. How can CBS protect the game after week 11? This game should be on Sunday or Monday night.

I’ve always felt the home teams gets more of an advantage during later games, the darker the more intense the crowd is and bigger the game feels for them.

why do u guys not like the afternoon and night games? i know the team likes the 1 pm games just cuz...but i dont usually get to watch those...

seems to me that CBS really wants to have the most Pats game on as possible...the pats are getting some serious air time this season...

or is it to throw us off? at this point, i dont put anything past Goodell

I'm not going to say the Steelers haven't played anyone, but have you looked at their schedule to date?

PIT @ CLE W 34-7 (This was prior to Cleveland's QB change)
BUF @ PIT W 3-26 (Buffalo has played slightly better since then)
SF @ PIT W 16-37 (SF is pretty bad right now folks)
PIT @ ARI L 14-21 (Arizona isn't that great, yet they beat the Steelers)
SEA @ PIT W 0-21 (This is not your 2005 Seahawks)
Bye
PIT @ DEN L 28-31 (The Broncos has been pretty bad for most of the season)
PIT @ CIN W 24-13 (NE Beat up on them much worse)
BAL @ PIT W 7-38 (The Bengals have zero offense, their defense hasn't been as good, and they're breaking down)

Works for me. A little extra sleep in the morning, but still don't have to worry about getting home at 2AM. I'm glad CBS protected this game. :rocker:

Here's a good article from the USA Today on the subject:

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/columnist/hiestand-tv/2007-11-06-nbc-nfl-picks_N.htm

Now, on to flexing's rules. The NFL makes the game-swapping decisions. But CBS and Fox can each protect five of their regularly-scheduled Sunday afternoon games, but not two on the same weekend — and none for season-ending Week 17.

Unfortunately for CBS and Fox, they had to make those picks in early October. And that, says Fox Sports president Ed Goren, make things "very, very difficult for Fox and CBS — it puts a lot of pressure on us."

NBC has more flexibility in flexing: Its game change can come just 12 days in advance and six days before Week 17.

There's more. Only three NFL teams can appear as many as six times in primetime — on NBC, ESPN or the league's own NFL Network — and no team can appear more than four times on NBC. And NBC can't pick up games already slated for primetime on ESPN or the NFL Network.

Hiestand goes on to say that he thinks NBC will keep Eagles @ Pats as its Week 12 matchup, so we'll be on primetime three weeks in a row.

Looks like the Pats are working the night shift as long as they are undefeated.
