If We Pick At 15

I don’t see the Patriots drafting a Wr. Especially after the N’keal Harry disaster . Not a chance. Maybe in the third or fourth round yes, but to take one in the first round, I don’t see that happening. If they move up it is going to be for a QB

If you look at other posts here about the future, you'll see words like "hopefully," "confident," "if ____ then _____," "unlikely," etc. You prefer to just list off fact after fact about things that haven't happened yet, which is fine.
That’s your issue not mine. Something that hasn’t happened yet is not a fact, never can be.

$70 million in CAP space is irrelevant if there isn't someone available to pay who's worth the money. So tell me who they should have spent some $$$ on to not "royally screw up."
We had as many resources as we have ever had, and by miles the worst QBs situation of the belichick era.
There were many QBs who moved to different teams that are better than cam Newton. Having 70 million in cap allows you to fill other holes if you can’t use it on a QB and then trade picks or players to draft one.

If we don’t draft a top QB we go into the season where we were flush with resources with the worst QB room in the NFL.
THAT is royally screwing up.

Name the QBs. Anyone you name will be argued by some that no, they're not better.

I get it: you HATE Cam with the fire of a thousand suns.

$70 million in CAP space was used to improve a roster completely devoid of a middle class. So, exactly what you said.

You while post is just a bunch of “we can’t get a better QBs because cams feeling will be hurt”.
Not what I said at all. I was arguing for bringing in Garoppolo and/or a first round rookie QB, and I specifically said I don’t want Cam starting and I don’t trust him as the starter. That has more to do with my feelings than Cam’s. I only argued that Cam may want to be let go of if he isn’t starting, and that’s speculation on my part.

Let me turn it around and ask you this. You’ve stated before that you’re against bringing in Garoppolo because he’s bound to miss games to injury. Would you honestly want Cam to be kept around as the backup, knowing that he would be playing as soon as Garoppolo gets hurt? Would you not want the rookie QB or even Stidham to get that shot instead?

If you don’t trust Cam at all then I don’t get why you’re disagreeing with me. I’m not saying don’t find an upgrade for Cam, I’m saying it doesn’t make sense for him or the team for him to stick around once the upgrade is found, especially if two of them are found. Do you understand now?

Things are lining up in place. Now the broncos do not need a QB now

BS. I don’t see the Broncos trading for Teddy and then drafting a QB.

Yeah. If anything this just guaranteed Carolina is in the QB market. It’s not a good thing for us. We have 4 and potentially 5 QB needing teams ahead of us plus Chicago probably looking for a trade.

Thanks for that. Wouldn't it be crazy if BB traded up to draft him, instead of a QB? We'd have a board meltdown.
If we can't get one of the QB's, we might very well trade up a couple of spots for Smith. A corner does seem much more likely.

They traded a 6th.... that means nothing. That’s an extra body in the rotation for camp competition. Would you feel comfortable going into the season with Lock and Bridgewater?

I agree. Panthers is the team I am worried avoid taking a QB. The Patriots should be talking to the falcons, lions or panthers about their picks. They are talking but I hope a trade is agreed upon today or on draft night

You're just wishin' and hopin'.

The Broncos did very well to trade for a fine backup. They do have the OPTION to pick a QB.

Can a team trade for Jimmy G so we don’t have to hear the media talk about him. Any team trade for him

Jimmy G traded to the lions, make it happen.
