For QBs in the NFL, I think athleticism - specifically speed and elusiveness - almost always causes more problems than it solves. And if that isn’t true immediately, just give it some time.
Jackson Lamar is exhibit A of that. He looks great against the poor teams but struggles against the better ones. I doubt that he can read a defense because he looks confused most of the time and just takes off and runs.

The problem for Pat, Patriot fans and the rest of the league is that Brady made getting to and/or winning the super bowl easy. It's not of course but because Brady has never been a physical specimen or an athletic freak but the ignoramuses think anyone who's more gifted in those areas will be able to do it. In reality it's a chess game and Brady is the chess master. It's what's between the ears that matters most.

"...You rang?"

Now they'll be other teams bidding for Brown. Seahawks or Ravens might be the team with the highest offer.

It's probably best for Brown to take the hometown discount and go back to the Bucs where they have the leadership to keep him on the straight and narrow.

But my impression of Brown is that he is the type of guy that will go to a place where he gets paid the most and treated as a superstar.

Bill Russell was one of the most impressive physical freaks in the league at the time so I’m not entirely sure what your point is.

He was smaller 6' 9" than opposing top talent centers

Happy for him and that Tom has been able to help him personally and professionally.

Tom tried to do it here; that he could not is one of the many reasons he left us.
The turnaround has been nothing short of amazing. Stephen A. seems to be the only in the media that ever mentions it. But they guy has done a 180 from when he was in Pitt. Brady has done an unbelievable job.

I don't know if he has intel on this or is just reading the tea leaves, but it makes sense either way.

Antonio Brown’s legal troubles end with this:

Alleged Transgressions

-A questionable sexual assault lawsuit filed by a female acquaintance who acknowledged having a voluntary personal relationship with him, at a minimum, and who acknowledged flying to Miami to meet with him, going to a night club with him, and going to his house afterwards.

-A group text message to a woman who dragged him through the mud publicly, making a reference to her children having nice clothes, which implied she isn't as financially distressed as she claimed to be.

-No criminal charges or even criminal investigation.

-Released by New England Patriots and suspended/blackballed by the NFL for an entire season, which was unofficial since it involved colluding against Brown and teams refusing to sign him due to the league dragging their feet on an investigation. The effective suspension was more than 2X the suspension for Ben Roethlisberger, who was involved in multiple incidents of sexual assualt. 4X longer suspension than Greg Hardy, who beat his girlfriend to a pulp. Tyreek Hill was not suspended at all for comments implying he broke his three year old's arm, which would make him a repeat offender.

One could strongly argue the only reason Brown was given such a harsh punishment is because of an owner who played ball with the league, seperating him from the NFLPA, making him an inactive player, and giving him no recourse. So let's hear a big Thank You for Bendover Bob, after claiming to learn his lesson from Deflategate, and remember when you see Tommy and AB laughing and celebrating championships in Tampa Bay, that Bob was instrumental in making this happen. Tom was adament that he could help AB and get him on the right path; Bob buckled at the pressure and chose the brownie points with public relations and the league office.

Kraft's transgressions are not limited to the flying elvis

I'm a person not from that era, not from the NE area, and just a casual fan of Basketball.

Due to what he had accomplished, I just assumed he had the size advantage over the opponents as a big center or power forward.

I would think most people like me have the belief that Russell is a giant at his position. I see much similarities between Bill Russell and Tom Brady. Both the Goat in their sports in terms of winning accomplishments, and both not physically dominant for their positions. I would bet 50 years from now, most future generations would automatically assume Tom Brady is an athletic freak too.

Tom's not a slouch physically. But to the scouts at the combine, he was. Thank goodness for Belichick and Rehbein for looking at the actual football Tom played.

Russell was physically gifted: He could jump, run, and pound it under the glass. What separated him is stamina, effort, intensity and most of all intelligence. Like Brady, Russell was always a student of the game, and never considered himself its master.

Many people choose not to accept Russ as the best because he wasn't a great shooter, wasn't physically amazing like the Doctor or MJ, and he wasn't flashy.

Denigration of his and the Celtics' success saying the competition wasn't as good, or that the style of play was inferior, or the smaller number of teams made it 'easier', or especially that the pressure was not as intense, is absurd.

But also people do not accept Russell personally. He was the nerdy, dorky younger brother who spent his teen years reading books in the library when his family moved to California. He was not the flashy high school athlete and he didn't have a girlfriend. With his friends he was silly and funny. Publicly he made it completely clear of his awareness and non-acceptance of White Supremacy. With the media he was self-deprecating, and you always got a huge laugh out of him instead of some haughty acknowledgement of his obvious greatness.
