If We Pick At 15

If they think the qb is worth it. If they see mond or mills as a decent consolation no way they do it
If Belichick thinks that Monde or Mills is a future top 10 quarterback, he will draft one of them in the first round. After losing on the top 5, Belichick would not leave the first round without a possible top 10 quarterback. So, let us say the Bill trades down a bit and then drafts Monde or Mills. Posters will say that Bill is a fool because he should have waited and gotten his choice in the third. After all, every other GM is so stupid that they will continue to consciously pass over a top 10 quarterback. ONLY BILL is so smart that he can put the evil spell on folks until Bill drafts his quarterback.
==============
Lots of folks seem to rate Jones and Fields as marginal first rounders. Perhaps they should trade down and draft him as 20, where they value him.

If they think the qb is worth it. If they see mond or mills as a decent consolation no way they do it
What I am saying is with a trade up to top 4 or 5 you get a QB you have a chance of developing into a superstar.
with mond or miles you are taking a guy who no one believes has a legitimate chance of being a top qb and at best figures to be a qb in an 8-8 team looking to win by upgrading QB

It’s like investing in stocks vs stocking up in hamburger helper.

:)
Let us examine this logic. I'll make another statement.

7th rounders are as good as first rounders. The reason that we don't see more 6th round starters is that they are not given a chance.

If you're going to extend my logic, do it logically.

Second, 3rd-round picks (even 4th) at every position except QB get on the field all the time.

If Belichick thinks that Monde or Mills is a future top 10 quarterback, he will draft one of them in the first round.
If belichick believed that, others would to and they would be going in the top 5.

They will be facts when the draft is complete, they really are now but you are too ignorant to admit it.

And I note you ignore the questions again.

Ironic that a guy who accuses others of “needing to be right” runs away from debating the issue when a point is raised that conflicts with your belief.

So ironic. It's like rain on your wedding day.

Which 2nd, 3rd and 4ths are you referring to? Ultimately most of them get their chance or blow the opportunity.

You refuse to realize that Belichick can draft players wherever he wants. He has the evil eye which he uses on others. If he values Monde as a future top 10 quarterback, he can magically get other teams to pass until he decides to draft him.

Not ironic at all but since you can’t dispute ANYTHING I have said you resort to this.

Many, many quarterbacks are drafted after the first round. Each team carries 3-4 into camp. There are lots and lots of practices, scrimmages and pre-season games. Some of the coaching staff is devoted to evaluating and trying to develop these quarterbacks.

Many of these quarterbacks, and occasionally play in NFL games.

We can ignore history or not. That is our choice. For me, we should continue to develop backup quarterbacks. They could be needed. But we should make no mistake, top 10 quarterbacks and playoff winning quarterbacks are found in the first round.
=====================
THE WORST SCENARIO
is NOT using 3 first rounders and failing to find a franchise quarterback. The WORST scenario is to pick the BPA for the next 5 years, and wonder why our team cannot win playoff games, even with its top 5 defense and a good set of offensive wreapons.
Can we all agree we aren’t winning championships until we have r a championship caliber qb? Can we all agree the only goal is winning championships?

i think bb’s evil eye is suffering from macular degeneration, especially when it comes to drafting defensive backs! Oddly enough, the macular degeneration goes away when signing UDFA’s.

Put this in a poll.

Surely, it is important to get the best value at all positions in the draft. Surely, it is important that value of each of our picks is higher rather than lower.

If BB goes QB, then pick 15 is wasted for 2021.

The odds a rookie QB learning the offense and stepping in to lead NE into the post season is a dream. I dont expect Trevor Lawrence to be in the Super Bowl or any of the top 5 QBs.

If he really is all that, and Saban gives his blessing, Devonta Smith would impact the NE offense at some point during 2021. TE is fixed, RB was never broken, but WR still needs playmakers that give opposing DCs sleepless nights.

Dude. Get a clue. I'm done arguing with you. You said your side and I said mine. Done. Holy crapola.

I am hoping they take the BPA at 15 and I will be ecstatic if it is a DL or LB.

No. I laid out a plan, you said QBS Are ToOOOOooooo XPEnSiVe and are trying to argue we don’t need one.

Then we had back and forth and I responded specifically to every point you raised in objection to my viewpoint and you ignored every point I made in objection to yours.
then you said I have a problem where I have I to be right. Comedy gold.

I do agree though, you should give up.

I disagree to both of these questions.
The first question is silly, because as soon as you win a championship, then you have a championship caliber QB. Nobody has a crystal ball. We already have Cam, and he won an NFC Championship (which shows that he has the ability to get to that level). Cam will be fine.
The second question that I wholeheartedly disagree with is that the "only" goal is to win championships. For me, I have loved watching the games ever since the early 70's and getting a Championship was/is a good goal, but not the "only goal". For me, it is entertainment, and a way to enjoy comradery with fellow sports fans. It is the game itself that I enjoy: the strategy, the athleticism, the big hits, the running game and the aerial acrobatics that receivers like Lynn Swann used and made famous. It's the excitement of making the playoffs and extending your hopes a bit longer and it's the willingness (as a fan) to emotionally invest again despite a crushing defeat.

Agree, but what is the drop-off from Smith or Waddle to Rashod Bateman from MN, or Rondale Moore from Purdue? So, Smith and Waddle OR trade down and get Moore or Bateman plus another 3rd (DT fatty)? I do not know the answer - only asking because I have not seen that comparison here. Moore/Bateman and a Fatty OR Smith OR Waddle?
