This cannot happen. Bring him home Bill. Bring him home.

I like Guy but he was also part of one of the most porous front 7s in the league last year. That’s not to say that he did not have plenty of help in that regard, but he also should not be considered blameless either.

With a DL crew of Godchaux, Anderson, Adams, Davis and Wise, they will likely be fine even if Guy departs. It is possible that they see view Godchaux as a younger version of Guy. That doesn’t even include a potential 330 lb.+ space eater in the draft.

Guy may give the Patriots a chance to match any offer and the decision to let him walk is unlikely to come down to a financial decision.

330 pound linebacker would be a huge liability in coverage I would think

Seems like do a whole lot of wife-swapping with MIA. DTs, LBs, etc.
Patriots should get compensatory 4th round picks for each player poached by a former Patriots positional coach or OC/DC becoming HC somewhere else, counting 5 years from his departure from the Patriots until this rule does not apply anymore, if it is a player with minority background this picks automatically change to 3rd round  :haha:

I don’t think New England is done another move at Running back wide receiver defensive back and QB is imminent

When i watched the run defense it felt mostly like Guy was the "last man standing". I felt sorry for him, had no help at all from DT or DE

No issue with Guy but I don't see him returning. They already have a ton of 1 thru 5 technique guys who are younger.

Shelvin and Slaton are the only fat-asses in the draft and can be had later. Maybe they pick on of those up.

Yes to Shelvin, no to Slaton for me...Dude is like 340 pounds and Humphrey blocked him 1 vs 1 several times. If a C dominates a NT then we're screwed.

Really wanted adoree Jackson but damn 3 years 39 mil hard pass

that much money ...

Keep in mind that we're already at 80 players, and have 10 draft picks + UDFA upcoming. I'm not sure if we're going to do a lot more until after the draft, but I expect us to keep churning low-risk, low-cost veteran signings throughout the year.

80 includes Chung so 79. There are quite a few obvious & less obvious cuts still on, and they are not obliged to draft 10 players (remember 2017 :)). So plenty of roster space, cap space to add competition before and after draft as opportunities present themselves.

RB, OL/G depth (Elu), DL opportunity, CB depth before draft still very possible

TY Hilton visiting with Chiefs.
So the NFL just sits back and let’s this happen.
