Deshaun Watson accused of sexual assault in lawsuit

This whole thing is extremely bazaar.. and no matter what the truth is, it sucks. My thought's on him getting traded before were that there was .001% chance they trade him.. now I think it must be lower.

Easterby's doing a great job instilling morals.

Great.

Job.

I have no idea if he's guilty or not. But this buzbee chap looks like a bottom dweller. HPD have no reported incidents. Isnt that where this all starts?

He’s got a what now?

The only “association” I know of was his claim that he was neighbors with the McNairs, but in today’s press conference he denied knowing them at all.
I heard he knew the father but does not know the current owner.

Yeah I heard about that but some rich jabroni putting up billboards does not constitute a relationship with the team.
True, but it is info to consider.

These things are never easy. Of course you always want to believe the woman (or man) who claims to be a victim, but in the early stages, it's just word-vs-word.

So maybe you side slightly with the victim initially.

Then you start accounting for any evidence and/or circumstances. And here are the only things we know for sure:
1. He is at a crucial moment in his career, basically wanting no part of Houston.
2. A lawyer who is a huge Texan fan all of a sudden brings these allegations.
3. Up until this point, Watson has been known as a model citizen and great guy. Meals to broke folks, cops...
4. The lawyer releases "evidence". You'd think the first stuff released would be at least somewhat damning... but no. The evidence I think actually helps Watson. The text messages read as being polite and considerate.

So I'm very much thinking this is a BS scheme at the moment. But that can change at any time of course, if there's any actual evidence of wrongdoing on Watson's part.

I just cannot subscribe to the notion this is some sort of scheme. The legal ramifications to anyone making this all up would be mind numbing.

Also we don’t know “for sure” he is a huge Texans fan. They didn’t do what he wanted them to do in the billboards and he claimed he doesn’t really care about the team.

Nothing in the law that says women have to go to the cops, so the police wouldn't have any complaint/report. Makes the story more iffy but doesn't necessarily mean something didn't happen

The giant discrepancy in media coverage from what AB received with one civil suit while signed in New England, versus what Watson is currently receiving for a dozen suits and counting is shocking....
It is pretty wild.

Because the fact that he denies it means it's not true. Just like the fact he accuses Watson means THAT'S true.

We're all biased by the things we prefer to believe. Thanks for proving this to once again be true.

When was the last time the Texans had a reputation for actually thinking things through?

This is DWat. This IS their franchise for all intents and purposes. Losing him puts the Texans instantly in bottom feeder status. if there's EVER a time to go scorched-earth no-tomorrow, it's now.

They have every incentive to do something underhanded to keep Watson in Houston. And they're the one franchise of the entire 32 I'd actualy believe capable of being incompetent enough to do so this openly

And the fact that the lawyer involved is a Texans superfan is not helping that impression.

i doubt caserio and the texans would do anything to lower his trade value and sabotage themselves. it is weird timing though.

You'd be surprised how common that is, especially with high publicity lawsuits.
Shame because it makes it more difficult for actual victims.

They would lose their franchise and be sued for a billion dollars (literally) if they did this and it was all made up.

This isn’t some story that leaked to the media. There are currently 7 lawsuit in play and counting. The legal ramifications would end the careers of everyone involved.

Watson today has deleted tweets from when he was in high school talking about enjoying massages. This is gonna get a whole lot worse.

How do you know this ? And how does watson remember he tweeted that like 10 years ago

But what’s the end game than of the lawyer if he’s an alleged Texan fan? If he hates Watson and wants him gone surely tanking his value isn’t the way to go. He can’t like Watson and smear his character like this ethier
