If we have to go in 2021 with 4 QBs we fill figure it out.
Why would you be against this?let me think for a sec...uh....no....
He's a Cam-tier QB who will command Cam-tier money, and it's hard to justify burdening your roster with more than one of those. Why would you be against this?
Do you feel he can’t challenge Cam for the starters job or make the an room stronger?
You really willing to throw the worst QB in the league out there to sink this ship again?I think at best he'd be a sdieways move and at worst, what he's been shown to be , a brittle JAG
No, but Mariota (or any other mediocre, non-vet min option) isn't the one to provide competition. If you have 2 useless veterans on your 53, you're either going to make your rookie inactive on game day or making someone who makes $5M inactive on game day. Either way is a waste of resources. You really willing to throw the worst QB in the league out there to sink this ship again?

And I don’t think Bill wants to box himself in before the draft. He might have eyes on a QB in the draft, or he might not. Why signal his hand when the real games don’t start for months!I also like Minshew, but I can't imagine it makes a lot of sense for JAX to trade him right now weeks before the draft. They are probably listening to godfather-type offers for the #1 pick in the background. If they trade their current starter then it boxes them in as far as needing to draft a QB. Only situation that would make sense then is if they traded with Miami to only go back 2 spots and still get a QB while also picking up extra 1sts. I highly doubt that happens though.
I would say Bill doesn’t want to repeat bringing in a QB til late the earlier the better to get them prepared. And I don’t think Bill wants to box himself in before the draft. He might have eyes on a QB in the draft, or he might not. Why signal his hand when the real games don’t start for months!
Wouldn't be the worst case scenario then, but I still don't like the idea of another definitely-not-the-answer QB taking reps from the rookie. The only reason I convinced myself to be okay with Cam is that he's actually played at a very high level in the past, which Mariota (at an NFL level) never has. I don't see any upside in bringing someone in who definitely won't be what you're looking for just because he might provide a marginal stat increase over the other guy. That really just weakens draft position and doesn't bring us any closer to contention. If they being on Mariota for camp competition then the loser of said competition would be released.
Right, I just think waiting until the draft still gives a new QB to learn the playbook, whether a rookie or a trade.I would say Bill doesn’t want to repeat bringing in a QB til late the earlier the better to get them prepared.
I’d be all over Marcus like a cheap suit.
With this OL / TE / RB ?Right, I just think waiting until the draft still gives a new QB to learn the playbook, whether a rookie or a trade.
Not sure if Wynn is on the opening day roster.
Why would Wynn not be on the opening day roster? What does Andrews signing have to do with Wynn?Called this earlier. Just never seemed like he was truly gone unlike Thuney. Andrews probably didn't want to leave and decided to take less to make it happen. O Line is now upgraded.
