They may not be strong at every position, but it doesn’t appear they have any major weaknesses anywhere except QB. That frees them to trade up for the QB in the draft, and with the remaining draft picks, to take the best available player at any position who fits what the Pats want to do without being forced into a need decision.

Glad to here. Andrews is significantly better than Karras. I don't care what PFF's grades say. Karras is the perfect back up and rotational guy in the mix now.

Although I’d rather they trade up for someone like Lance who intrigues me, it’s almost more interesting to see what they do in the draft if they can’t. As you say, there’s so many directions to go with no real needs.

Word was that Andrews way priced himself way too high for the market and refused to move. I think he always betted on Miami paying him if the Pats didn't. I think everyone just assumed the Dolphins would pay him. Everyone in the know seemed to think the guy was history.

Edelman had bad intel too then.

I’ve seen speculation that Miami used their Andrews money on signing Will Fuller. Maybe that’s the shoe that dropped.

Our OL has great talent and great depth. With our new TEs and that OL, we will be able to control the clock with our running game.
