Would’ve been more interesting if KC had their tackles for sure. I’m just saying the Tampa O was balanced well and KC had no answer, Bucs would’ve cooked a 50-burger if they felt like it. Cheers!
Yep, Tom finally exercised the demons that was Steve Spagnolo. Bucs showed them mercy in the 2nd half.

This signing doesn't mean Cam is our week 1 starter, but if he is, then there are some reasons to still be optimistic:
- our D will be significantly better
- our running game will significantly better. We're now built like late 2018 to pound the ball and play action.
- Cam will know the offense this time around. Learning a new offense during a pandemic is impossibly hard.
- Cam will know his teammates this time around.
- Josh McD will have a better idea how to use him this time around. Some of the play calling in the RZ especially was way too predictable.
- Cam was ballin for a few games there (Seattle & Buffalo), showed he still had something. Hopefully they can recapture that.
- even if we don't add a TE, the rookie TE's from last year will be significantly better. Plus there are good FA options, we'll get one.
- WR, one way or another will be significantly better. Can't say exactly how at this point, but we'll have better talent
- If Brady failed with these receiver weapons the year before, how was Newton supposed to succeed? We've had 2 straight years of real bad receiver groups.
- the schedule's a little lighter - not by much but a little bit.

He isn't as bad as he finished last year, and the team overall will be stronger.

Who were the Patriots going to get realisticly?

Watson No
Wilson No
Garappalo No

who else Fitz who hasn’t made the playoffs in his entire career?

Best option was to sign Cam and draft a QB.

Their really isn’t anything else out there. It takes 2 to tango.

Sure I would have preferred any of the other QBs above but it takes 2 to tango.

I expected Cam to have a job with the Patriots this coming season. I was not thinking $14 M, but then I don't know what the Cap hit will be.

I just have to wait until the final curtain unfolds.

Rodney Harrison does not like this move. In fact, here's his thoughts on Bill potentially re-signing Newton a month ago, "That would be the worst decision [Belichick] has ever made".

For all the times Brady and the Pats have been shorthanded in big games, I give the Chiefs zero sympathy on who wasn't available for them. Tough s*** for them.

Jimmy G and the 9ers also had a nice lead last year with 6 minutes to play and they s*** the bed.

I am not giving the Chiefs sympathy. Everyone plays the games with the hands they are dealt. I was just saying that the Chiefs only scoring 9 points and not playing well on offense play a key role in the game.

I honestly think that if Cam sucks as much as last year and the pats season looks like 2020 Robert Kraft should fire Bill at the end of the season.

Bill is not the only coach who can rebuild a team, the fact is, his career show that it is more probable than not that he can’t do it

Hahahhaha... Fire the best coach in football??

hahhahahahahaa gimme a fkn break.

I think the Bucs played great on both sides of the ball and both sides of the ball played a big role in the Bucs winning. I am just saying that it wasn't all Brady.

Ok bill, you resign this guy the pressure's on next year. Lets see what you got.

Brady inspires both sides of the ball to be better. The D feels they have a shot with him at quarterback so they bear down and play harder. His presence on the team and the impact on the team as a whole cannot be overstated.

Despite all the meltdowns and misleading posts from various people this turned out to be yet another pretty good deal that gives the team enough flexibility to even release him before the season starts if something comes up.
Would rather have that $5M base go towards Thuney who is more likely to play better than Newton. Use their 15th pick to trade up for a QB. I'd take my chances he'd play better than Newton.

But the whole point is we signed him at the 11th hour again (last business day before the legal tampering period) because we had zippo. That is the story. We have all the cap, the high picks and the best we could do was Newton and now we have to pray that FA receivers/TE want to come here which is a huge ask.
