N'Keal on the block?

I hate how this fanbase dumps on players always assuming their failure is because of a character flaw of the player. “They suck” “They didn’t want it bad enough “. Sometimes, that’s true, but in many cases such as Harry the problem is the guy just can’t play and it’s not his fault he was set up to fail.
So it's not because "he sucks" but because "he sucks?"

The thing about Harry is that he visibly plays soft. He's a huge guy who gets bullied by 5'10" 180lb corners and loses jump balls against them.

Everyone harps on his speed but his real flaw is he doesn't attack the ball. He's an Anquan Boldin type without the aggression, which just makes him a slug.

This is more than not a shot across the bow of the USS Harry to shape up because this is your last chance in NE. Its been bad, but not totally all on Harry when Cam is heading into game 16 with 5 passing TDs for the season.

At this point, no team out there would give the Pats anything of value for Harry A 3rd is out of the discussion.

It does if the QB doesn't trust him enough to throw him the ball.
No, it doesn't. The QB had a reason for not throwing him the ball. The WR sucked ≠ the QB situation isn't good.

I used to think Sony was the king of getting excuses made for him but Harry has stolen the title. The guy has done nothing and reading in between the lines from the coaching staff and beat reporters there seems to be some questioning of how much he wants it.

When Harry plays he also takes up and wastes one of the 3 main receiver spots and routes on a play. So it really hurts the offense. Anything higher than a 5th I say get rid of this bum. And lock McDaniels in the closet, no more crap picks based on his involvement anymore.

No there's absolutely no excuse when an undrafted Meyers can be on pace for 1200 yards if he started all year even with a bad QB. Let's stop making excuses for Harry. He's a bust and our WR scouting system is broken. Don't even draft WR anymore until it's looked at and fixed. We can develop Edelman and Meyers types because it's outside our sh-t draft system for WRs.

Approximately 2 decade Patriots fan narrative:

"One of the great things about Tom Brady is that he makes his wide receivers better than they really are."

2019-2020 Patriots fan narrative in defense of N'Keal Harry:

"HOW CAN HARRY BE EXPECTED TO BE GOOD, OR GET BETTER, WHEN HE'S GOT TOM BRADY THROWING TO HIM?"

Reality as seen in 2020, including during the playoffs:
Scotty Miller (2nd year WR4) and Tyler Johnson (1st year WR5) were being targeted, and making big catches, at big moments during the Bucs season.

Aww I completely forgot
Dear God

i still remember Chad Jackson over Greg Jennings
Laurence Maroney over Deangelo Williams and Maurice Jones Drew.
I have nightmares about passing up on Brandon Marshall the WR
Greg Kittle it just goes on and on.
Hoping this new regime can fix this
and Seymour over David Terrell

and Seymour over David Terrell
Outside of grabbing Brady in the 6th, and when you think of the context (i.e. the 'journalist' you're taking your post from) combined with the success level of the player, the Seymour pick may be the greatest draft selection of BB's tenure.*

*Edelman would have to be in the running for the title, too.

Understand the pessimism but we will eventually hit on a wr. I like hearing that we’ve been scouting Amari Rodgers. Love his game. I wouldn’t use 15 on one unless one of the big 3 falls (unlikely). Qb or defense at that spot. Wouldn’t have any issues on going wr at any other point rounds 2/7.

It's incredible how much praise he was getting after the Seahawks game. People were annualizing his one game yardage over a 16 games and saying he's a 1,000 yard receiver. He did nothing after that

Nkeal Harry for DeShaun Watson..who says no?

In return, the Patriots receive a 7th round pick, a six-month supply of Cool Blue gatorade and a tube of antifungal cream, to treat the yeast infection under Trent Brown's titties.

Mankins. Vollmer. There was a time when the Pats drafted a guy nobody knew, the analysts would actually question their own judgment instead of the Pats sanity.

Depends on the position. You named 2 Olinemen and we had Scar one of the best Oline coaches helping on evaluations. We suck at drafting WR and RB and our offensive coordinator thought Tim Tebow was a 1st rounder. We also have a broken CB scouting system. Anyone we draft at WR and CB is immediately suspect unless they're an undrafted free agent. The only positions I trust our staff knows what they're doing on a high draft pick are DE, DT, LB, Safety, and OLine. Ignore all these other positions because the Patriots are terrible at evaluating other positions.

If the Pats could get anything substantial for Harry I would be shocked. I don't believe this rumor at all unless teams are calling about him offering 6th or 7th rounders.

For the value he would garner in a trade and the fact that salary cap wise it's cheaper to keep him I expect he will be on the team another year.

It's stupid to trade him now. It's a 2m cap charge and they'll get nothing for him.

Better off being patient, see what happens in OTA, TC pre-season and see how he does with the new QB.

If he sucks, trade/cut. If he does well, everyone makes out.
