N'Keal on the block?

If you drop him down to WR4 or WR5, how does that help his game or trade value?
He would have to earn his role. If he plays like the player we thought he was going to be coming out, that’s the whole idea.

You don’t go with with the expectation he will accomplish this. You just give him one last chance due to the high level investment you made in him.

Hell, even Aaron Dobson was given three years here.

Disagree there’s a number of teams who may think in a change of environment as a 2 or a 3 he could be a steal.
I hope there is. I'm not one of the people who whined about his performance or his draft position, but IMO we've seen his pluses and his minuses already. Given where we are in our team development cycle I'd be OK with gambling on a 2nd or 3rd just to see if we get lucky or not.

Brutal. But que the “hindsight” crowd arguing against it even though Tuitt was mocked to go to the Pats.
I don't know if that draft thread still exists, but I was all over Tuitt. So the "hindsight" crowd can kiss my ass.

Nothing says you suck at drafting and developing wideouts like other teams circling like vultures to get your 1st rounder for a 5th or some equal BS draft pick.
This kind of leak at this time of year suggests it's highly likely he gets cut with no compensation at all, and they are just hoping someone offers up something.

He's been sucking but the QB situation was not good for him and receivers need to develop chemistry with the QB.

Last year we had no QB and the year before Tom with that classic chemistry problem and it didn't help Harry missed half of the season.

I would give him another chance but if there's an offer it might be good for him as well to go to a different system.

I dont see why anyone would give up more than a 5th for him at which point you might as well ride it out and hope he makes a leap

Aww I completely forgot
Dear God

i still remember Chad Jackson over Greg Jennings
Laurence Maroney over Deangelo Williams and Maurice Jones Drew.
I have nightmares about passing up on Brandon Marshall the WR
Greg Kittle it just goes on and on.
Hoping this new regime can fix this
Bill's had great moves and decisions, and he's had lousy moves and decisions. Overall, I think the fairest evaluation of him is that he's been an above average GM who's been greatly aided by having gotten TB12 way back in the day. And, based upon the reports we've heard in the last decade, a fair portion of the drafting problem is because of two "issues":

  1. BB ignores his scouts too much
  2. BB looks for "damaged goods" a lot, and gets bitten in the ass a good deal of the time when he does

Dobson was a second round pick who had a 4 game sophomore season, and was not in a position where he had any expectations, beyond hoping not to get cut, in year 3.

He can't get open and he can't run routes. And the worst part is he gets manhandled by smaller CBs on 50-50 balls which is supposed to be his specialty.

If he wasn't open but used his body and physicality to grab balls from guys that's one thing. But he plays so much softer than his frame

He had Tom Brady as his QB in his rookie year. The notion that the QB situation hasn't been good for him doesn't hold water.

Unfortunately if he is traded, its going to be super underwhelming. Like Harry and a 6 for a 5

Harry’s $1.7 million salary is guaranteed, so I’m sure the Pats would love to have someone trade for it.

I hate how this fanbase dumps on players always assuming their failure is because of a character flaw of the player. “They suck” “They didn’t want it bad enough “. Sometimes, that’s true, but in many cases such as Harry the problem is the guy just can’t play and it’s not his fault he was set up to fail.

I’m no expert on anything. But, after watching 5 minutes of video of Harry and 5 minutes of Jakobi Meyers, it was obvious that Meyers was the better player. Harry is as stiff of an athlete I’ve seen drafted that high in a long time totaling lacking the body control to move in and out of cuts so he doesn’t play to his speed or adjusting to the ball in the air so he doesn’t play to his size.

He and Easley are, maybe, the worse misses I’ve seen from a Patriots 1st rounder in all the years I’ve followed the team.

He seems like a good kid. Hope he’s saved his money and has a great and useful like.

That’s why I’m saying let’s give him one more camp. We could probably still get a 6th/7th for him around that time anyways.

It does if the QB doesn't trust him enough to throw him the ball.
