Bill would not pay him G money to play C. Thuney is not coming back. It’s insane to think otherwise.???
If the patriots sign Thuney, he'll get the same money whether he plays OG or C. Are you suggesting that some in league want to offere him monye in order to play center?
Over the Cap is the better source to use. That's per Miguel.
The top paid Center currently is Ryan Kelly. His APY is 12.4M. So, it's not really "quite a bit" if he was paid at $14M.
Andrews isn't likely to get paid as well as people think. He's not in the top 10 in the league for centers. He's above average to good, but not VG imho.

The patriots aren’t going to have 80 million in cap space next year after they add the players that take up the 68 mill they have available this year.First - You have no idea if Thuney is gone or not.
Second - You're incorrect on what they would lose for Cap Room for Garappolo since they could EASILY push $12M into next year. Based on a $205M cap number (before adjustments) the Pats would have about $80M in cap space.
Third - We do know Thuney can properly snap the ball in the shotgun. He did it this year during the Raiders game. Thuney has been the emergency center for the last few years and has seen game snaps there.
I think Christian Barmore should be there for the taking and he will be worthy of the pick.Except there aren't any worth that high of a pick in this draft from what I've been reading.
Also, they could invest in a WR or a LB. I know one draft expert here who would pretty happy if it was Kwity Paye who was drafted.
Thuney vs. RaidersThe Raiders game had Thuney at Center making the line calls.
I don't understand it. In a league full of great offensive linemen he's got top 15 potential. I really don't get it. Never any problems in college. Can't prepare for an Achilles. Last year got rolled up on by a defender. You can't plan for that stuff. **** happens. Nice guy, really good player but gets no love here.
I thought G was the spot he'd excel at the most coming out and I was wrong. In fairness to me I spend about 90 seconds thinking about that stuff. I'm not a coach and will leave it up to them.I’ve for nothing but admiration for the guy. Personally, I’d rather see him at left guard which to me seems like his natural postion. He crushed it at the senior bowl and showed like the best player on the field. More than willing to see how Brown does back at his old position and shifting Wynn over. If it doesn’t work out then ofcourse they can change it up. Not sure why anyone would count that as spite vs Wynn unless we’re talking the usual he “sucks” crowd.
That depends a lot on how many 1 year contracts are signed, as we just did.The patriots aren’t going to have 80 million in cap space next year after they add the players that take up the 68 mill they have available this year.

Thuney vs. Raiders
0 sacks 0 hurries 0 pressures
3rd highest graded center
How many teams can afford to pay him and who will? There aren't that many teams that have the cap room to pay a guard. Maybe Jets/Jags, I don't know if his market is going to be as plentiful as posters think.Bill would not pay him G money to play C. Thuney is not coming back. It’s insane to think otherwise.
Answer to the second question: no. Thuney wants to be paid as G and teams will play him at G.
I think he’s young enough and good enough to get teams to consider extreme backloading to make it work. A five year contract with a $1M salary and $15M signing bonus pays him $16M this year with a $4M cap hit, for example. How many teams can afford to pay him and who will?
