Dude is a gamer if he can stay healthy,

  • CHRIS CARSONRB, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the Seahawks will not franchise tag RB Chris Carson, making him a free agent.

Running backs are infrequent tag recipients, but you never know in Seattle. Carson would have netted $8.68 million under the tag. One of the top backs atop a soft running back market, Carson could get priced out of even run-happy Seattle's range. The 26-year-old's injury history is his big red flag as he heads to the open market.

Based on talent, he'd be a candidate to replace White if he walks. But you're right, health is a major concern for him (as my fantasy team this year can attest).

Say what you will about Belichick benching him in the Super Bowl, but he was right that Butler for whatever reason became a shell of himself. I didn't agree with the benching, but it was clear the Pats were right to move on from him. I don't know if he just lost his confidence or he was just playing way over his head years prior and he just couldn't do it anymore or his Super Bowl INT just went to his head some way. Don't know.

lol defense gets a stop with Butler out there I don’t give a **** if he failed after he left

I had him on my fantasy team a couple of years ago.

Drafted him way late and Carson produced like a poor mans Todd Gurley.

Very low. I mean they said 180 was the floor yet only a 2.5 increase. I thought it would be 187.
This helps the Patriots and a few other teams so much definitely a advantage expect a ton of cuts and restructures across the league.

I said I didn't agree with the benching.

Because we can't prognosticate the future, are the Colts more attractive to Golladay than the Pats, currently, as in right now.

Of course they are right now. Where did I say otherwise. But there is at least a small chance that the Pats' QB situation could radically change between now and the start of free agency. And that is all I said.

So you think there's a small chance we have a QB by Monday? That'd be interesting.

Who knows? The Pats are definitely interested in acquiring a new QB. if they do love Garoppolo, maybe the 49ers will be in a position to trade him if they acquire say Sam Darnold. Or may the Pats trade for Darnold.

Trade for Minshew; draft Waddle and then Trask; sign Henry and Hilton. Take a look at guys like Tate, Rudolph and maybe Smith-Schuster.
Why would you want a 32 yr old Hilton?

Not as the #1 WR, but for the #2. The Pats would need another WR if they took Hilton. Hilton played pretty well the second half of last year.

Yup, I am a Hilton guy too. Think I said it above - if they trade for/sign a bridge QB, I can see them taking a guy like Waddle as the WR1 in the first and someone like Trask later. Waddle is your top guy and Hilton would be a great WR2 who can show Waddle the ropes as a pro. Meyers would be a great WR3 - Byrd too as a WR4 if they keep him - and you've still got Harry floating around... and whatever happens with Edelman.

Drafting WR(s), signing a guy like Hilton and spending big at TE on Henry and maybe Rudolph would put them in good shape... if they can get at least a somewhat good QB...

Thought I’d post this here since he might wind up being an option. Feel really bad for the horrific curveballs his son, himself, and his family have had to endure.

Imagine if they got both Brown and Solder back in the same offseason. Not sure what you do with Wynn then, though. He could become the LG but then what do you do with Onwenu?
