Please do humankind a favor and have your brain donated to science once you no longer have need of it.
Eh, I know it may seem that way when you are so terribly outmatched in our exchanges but im really not THAT smart

Don't agree.

He was not great in 2019.

He is 33 years old.

I don't see him as a bargain.
Never said he was great in 2019. 2019 was the last year he played and he played injured the entire year. 2019 is the same year they played without Andrews.

I said Cannon played well in 2018. Also, no, Cannon won't be 33 until May.

What you THINK and what is reality are two completely different items. You're guessing with zero evidence to support your stance.
Find me another starting RT NOT on their rookie contract that has a 9M cap hit.. We'll wait.

Trade Sony? What do you think you're going to get for a RB in his last year, with a major 5th year option payout after that?

If Cannon is back, we have a RT.

DKF doesn't know wtf he's talking about, per usual.

I think Cannon is close to being done.

Bill has asked many players to take cuts if their performance is not commensurate with their contract- See Amendola.

And he's not asked Cannon to "take a cut" to this point. Despite the 2019 troubles. That should make you think.

BB did Cannon a solid two years ago. He was scheduled to collect a $5.5MM salary and up to $500K in per-game roster bonuses in 2019. He helped them reduce the cap hit by $2.5m but in turn he took a $1MM base salary, a $3.5MM signing bonus, and up to $1.5MM in per-game roster bonuses. It was a win-win. Not a cut and not a raise although it was more up-front money in his pocket. BB was ok doing this because he was performing.

The difference this time is Cannon is 2 years older, his play was not good in 2019 and he hasn't played in a year. If he had a good 2020 I'd be singing a different tune.
I love the fact you continue to spew that "Cannon wasn't good in 2019" while failing to acknowledge what is WIDELY known about him. That he was playing injured. Just like Mason. Sorry, but your spiel makes ZERO sense. Not having played in a year would help his body recover from the wear and tear.

Claiming that BB did Cannon a solid is a friggin joke. They did what they did to create cap space that they needed. Not for any other reason. And you have Zero evidence to support that BB did the restructure out of kindness..

You're getting to be as bad a Capt. Stone and DKF and sb1 with these SWAGS..

It's really remarkable how offended and upset you get by opinions different than your own when it comes to football.

We're discussing football ... not politics, not religion, not society/culture, not life ... football.

Nothing RW said was out of line or absurd - he offered his take on the situation, which is his own speculation - an opinion, just like your own.

Isn't that the point of this forum? If we didn't offer our own unique, differing POVs on the team, this discussion board would be bland and boring.

It's amazing how you assume you know what someone is FEELING. It's one of the most asinine things someone can do.
Sorry, but your opinion about RW's statements are also not actually based on fact. But like so many, you think that opinions can exist without any basis. It's NOT an opinion when it's not supported. It's nothing but unsubstantiated garbage.

What's bland and boring is people who just throw things at the wall to see what sticks. What's bland and boring is people like yourself who make up excuses for that lazy behavior. Don't like it? Fell free to block me. No skin off my back..

P.S. Your entire b!tch session was you complaining about my opinions. Funny how you can't accept that because it doesn't follow your expectations..

Breer's trade candidates:
Kwon Alexander
Geno Atkins
Michael Brockers
Brandon Brooks
Trent Brown
Zach Ertz
Stephon Gilmore
LaMarcus Joyner
Latavius Murray
Andrew Norwell
David Njoku
Emmanuel Sanders
Preston Smith
Kevin Zeitler

Excluding Gilmore (needs a new contract rather than already having too big of one) and Brooks (guaranteed salary), I feel pretty confident in saying at least half of the others will be cut rather than traded. Will be interesting to come back to this next week and next month.

You seem to be getting excited. Let's stay calm.

Cannon wasn't good in 2019. That is a fact.

From Jeff Howe from The Athletic

Cannon’s performance was on a downturn before opting out last season. He had the best season of his career in 2017, allowing just 13.5 disruptions (all sacks, QB hits and pressures), but that total increased to 29 in 2018 and 41 in 2019.

Agreed, he was injured. So that doesn't factor into the equation? Just because someone takes a year off they come back better?

Now he is 33.

...and yes, by BB giving Cannon guaranteed money as opposed to earning it in game checks and performance incentives IS a solid for the player. Cannon helps the team and BB guarantees money.

We'll agree/disagree here. Moving on.

BB hasn't done a lot of things- yet.

The Rams are at -35 million in cap with a week to go. There’s only so much they can restructure with Stafford, Goff & Gurley counting for 50 million.

Brockers is exactly what this defense needs. Guessing he’ll be cut.

Definitely not the kind of thing a person who's mad would post.

Seriously, Dude. I NEVER said that Cannon was good in 2019. Not in ANY of my replies. I said Cannon was good in 2018. 2019 was marred by INJURIES. That's well known FACT.

Cannon is 32. His birthday isn't until MAY.

This is what I said that you got all bent out of shape over "If he shows in OTAs and in Mini-Camp that the year off has helped him return to his 2018 form..."

There have been numerous players who have taken a year off and come back healthy to play better than they did their previous year playing. Not all of them are turning 33, but guys like Jason Peters and such have done so.. And were recovering from major injury to boot. You're acting like Cannon won't have done ANY sort of training to stay in shape.

I don't think i'm getting bent out of shape over anything. If it were Crawhammer or Biffins trashing BB that's is an example of me getting bent out of shape. :p

I'm replying to your posts with my opinion and stating why I believe BB is moving on from Cannon.

Moving on.
