OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

This has been by far the best thread on the Bucs anywhere precisely for the reasons you listed. It was pretty cool to see them morph the offense into the Patriot offense with the explosive plays built it. It was something to watch in the post-season. You forgot to mention the Saints game which also was a very methodical game like the SB. They just fell behind early but Brady was a surgeon in that game and capitalizing on every single turnover. It was after that game that I knew the Bucs had a real shot at the Lombardi.

Browns potentially going after Lavonte David. Bucs will try to keep him, but Browns do have a lot of cap space for relatively few roster openings.

David is good but he’s not a young buck anymore although you have stupid teams out there that will give the guy a 5 year deal worth millions.

Brady is 1154 yards behind Brees. Might be tough to pass him this year if Brees does play. If Brady gets to 4000 Brees would only need 2900+ to maintain his lead. Over a 17 game season that's only 170 yards a game. Definitely in 2022 though.

TD record is his to stay for sure. 581 and easily gets to 600 this season. If he can get 40+ this season then who knows - I'm not ruling out 700.
I don't see Brees playing. He looked done to me.

First, falsely accuse me of comparing Brady to an average QB when I was comparing an average QB who fit the Patriots' system to Drew Bledsoe. And then you turn around and accuse me of being Rob Parker, who is a Brady hater, where I have repeatedly said Brady is one of my favorite Patriot of all time and called him the GOAT. Who is the clown here? (hint: it is you).
Come on Rob, I thought we already established I'm messing with you. It’s too easy with the Rob thing. Can't help myself. I know you're not a Brady hater. And yes, I'm trying to be a clown. Sue me.

I give Joe no credit. He hemmed and hawed on this for such a long time, only to finally cave when it became overwhelmingly obvious.

Regards,
Chris
I agree. He has no choice now but to say it. Brady has reduced all the past greats of the game to a footnote.

Fair enough. Sorry, message boards are not the best to get tone sometimes.

The decision on when to schedule the Tampa Bay/Pats game is an interesting one because common sense would usually dictate that it’s a no brainer November game at either 4pm or 8 pm. But the risk is that there’s a really good chance that Patriots suck again and so if it’s a matchup of a 10-1 Bucs vs a 4-7 Pats team you don’t really want that in prime time.

Team Bill’s cartwheeling male cheerleader has no sense of humor.

Franchise him...or overpay on this one.

David is the most critical free agent on the team, moreso than Barrett or Godwin. Without him, there’s a ripple down effect everywhere. They’ll won’t be able to play those 2-linebacker schemes.
