Jones, who had previously played behind Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa, showed his competitiveness from his early days as a scout team quarterback.

Get this kid at #15. Need to find the QBOF and maybe we get lucky again and it's him. This QB void is killing us.

College football isn't my thing. My only concern about this guy is his conditioning. Chunky at 21 can easily turn into fat at 25. If the Pats draft him, they better get him on the TB12 method and a whole batch of avocado ice cream.

Agree. He needs to slim down a bit if he’s going to become a top 5 QB in this league.

I think this kid is going to be a long-time stud in this league. He has played against the best competition in college and excelled. Even crappy teams in the SEC have studs. His strengths are what you are looking for in top-notch NFL QBs. But the cost of being wrong on a first-round QB is huge. It sets back your team’s QB situation and costs you a great player you could have picked. So a first round QB is always a gamble. Even Trevor Lawrence is a gamble. So if the Pats think he is good, are they willing to gamble?

Apparently Devonta Smith was asked to pick between Jones and Tua by the media - and picked Jones. Not surprised in the slightest. And where did Tua get drafted??

Well since the team's QB situation is dire anyway, I don't see much risk. Imagine the kid turns out to be a stud and you passed because you wanted to play it safe.

Kids entire name is Michael McCorkle "Mac" Jones. McCorkle? Lmao, kid's gotta have character with a name like that.
