Asante goes off on Bill/Pats organization

Ian

This one is a classic example of the intellectual and emotional poison that threatens to overwhelm patsfans.
This is the 3rd time you run whining to Ian. What a little b**tch. Grow a pair loser.

You're the only one poisoning these threads with your saltiness. Get back on your lithium old man.

Belichick without Parcells, and without Brady, is 2-6.

The roster turnover in 2000 was the thing that won us a Super Bowl in Belichick's second year. Brady was great, but just a game manager at that point. It was all Belichick. He won us that Super Bowl. So people like you have waited 20 years to criticize Belichick. 20 years!

It's been a very long time, but really any I told you sos ring hollow. 1 down year over a 20 year run. And not only that, but the greatest dynasty in the history of sports began with a down year, then a Super Bowl victory brought to you by Belichick's defense, and it ended similarly with a Super Bowl victory brought to you by Belichick's defense, followed by a down year that began the roster overturn we're seeing now.

Idk but he did have 3 ints in the game against CHI, and film does show him running along the sideline, and Troy Brown did play for the defense that game, so everything he said checks.

Maybe you're the moron.
Troy Brown did not start over Asante Samuel, but go ahead believing the crybaby. Asante Samuel started. I see you like to call me a moron, but I'll be kind and say you're gullible and challenged.

Your boy beLichick doesn't love winning Super Bowls as much as he loves his personal agenda i.e. Super Bowl 52. Did you watch that game? How did you feel about Butler standing on the sideline while the defense was getting shredded and the season was swirling down the toilet bowl?

You seem to lack an understanding of how impactful Brady was to the success of the Patriots. He took over a team that had been 5-13 and led them to a Super Bowl title with a 14-3 record. Belichick hadn't won a division in 6 previous seasons as a head coach yet with Brady he wins 17 division titles in 18 seasons. Then the very first season Brady leaves, the Patriots fall from 12-4 to 7-9 while Brady turns a 7-9 team into a Super Bowl winner with a 15-5 record. You think it's a coincidence that Brady led two separate franchises to Super Bowl titles in his first as their starter?

6 Super Bowl victories. Smoke it!

I don't know what you're discussing, but I'm talking about Belichick's coaching, his ability to take average players (defenses especially) and make them into Super Bowl contenders.
You mean like he did with Rowe/ Bademosi/ Richards in LII? That was a brilliant game plan. It was so good Canton wasn't good enough for it. They have the "coaches decision" displayed in Stockholm among the other Nobel prize awards.

LMAO

Yes, Belichick made a bad decision in 20 years. Let's harp on that. Let's forget about the 6 Super Bowl victories. Maybe you should go have some fun in Philadelphia with those guys since you can't get over that Super Bowl. How's that working out for them?

Sensible reason to fire BB- you believe his way of drafting and coaching, while it worked in the past no longer works that well in 2021 and it’s time for the Patriots to adopt a new and fresh way of thinking at all levels of the football ops.

Bad reason to fire BB- you’re mad because Brady isn’t here and Bill is.

Malcolm Butler f---ed over his teammates in the Philly Super Bowl and he knew it, that's why he was standing on the sidelines crying prior to the game.

If he felt the team were in the wrong... he would be fuming, not crying. He was a disgruntled malcontent over his contract and was our worst starting player all season... then he acted a fool the week leading up to the biggest game of the year. That's why once he left to Tennessee and thought it over he was repentant and thanked New England for everything they did for him. If BB wanted to be a real **** he could have broadcast to the league what a disgruntled little child Butler was prior to the Super Bowl and him being a free agent costing him millions of dollars, instead Bill took the high road and did right by a player who screwed his team over on the biggest stage.

Malcolm Butler wasn't good in 2017, in fact he was terrible. He started the season by refusing to communicate with Stephon Gilmore which set the defense back to begin the year. Then he got destroyed by the Dolphin's Jay Cutler and 5'6" Jakeem Grant, then after getting repeatedly burned he threw the coaching staff under the bus... as if they were at fault for him letting some scrubs destroy him. He is entirely overrated as a starter in general and was benched in favor of Adoree Jackson in Tennessee and now he's likely to be a cap casualty. The guy was an UDFA for a reason and isn't fast, he was great when he had Darrelle Revis to mimic... he peaked in year three and has gone downhill since.

The notion that Butler would have changed the outcome of that Super Bowl is laughable. They rushed for 164 yards on us, Hightower, Alan Branch, Jon Jones and eventually Chung were all hurt and that's why they lost... they lost at the line of scrimmage. After the Pats put Gilmore on Alshon Jeffrey the Eagle's WR's did squat in the second half, the only receiving weapon that did anything was Zach Ertz and that's because Chung broke him arm. Last I checked Butler didn't play SS.

He certainly owed his teammates more then trying to submarine them at the most crucial time of the year. I love the guy, but he was wrong and he knew it... that's why he was crying.

Huh? How's winning their 1st SB working out for Philadelphia, a SB gifted to them after Brady put together a record breaking game?

I suspect they're still thrilled about it.

Bill is GOAT coach but there are two things that stain Bill’s legacy. One is this, as it threw away a SB for reasons we still don’t know and I believe was the moment Brady and Gronk took a step toward the exit. The other is spygate. Both decisions had long term painful impacts on the Patriots.

Same I won’t forget that
I remember it like it was yesterday.

One of the things that surprised me was the reaction of a couple of the guys in the room when the Pats took the lead late in the game. All of a sudden they started yelling at the Giants players, hoping for them to "break their legs." I never looked at them the same again and blame them for creating the bad karma that led to the sad ending.

The Eagles punted once all game. They converted almost every third and fourth down. It’s a stretch to think that our best tackling corner and SB hero Butler couldn’t have made two or three more plays that would have turned an eagles score into a punt. In a one score game that makes all the difference. That’s all Butler needed to do. He didn’t need to play like Deion Sanders in his prime. Brady was taking care of business on the other side.

It cost the SB without a doubt at all. I wish we knew the real reason why.

Yeah

That's it. keeping digging there Sherlock. You might find something on the way to China. Take these other posters with you. You can hold hands at night.

My responses to your posting is an act of mercy. I have stated I am glad Brady is gone because my opinion correctly determined it's time to rebuild. You are the opposite and are miserable. I'm very happy.

If you bother to listen, you can be happy too.

This offseason has the real possibility to be the most interesting in league history.....yet we get you and the other dongs keep poisoning every thread.

Ian

Soon people will stop giving you the attention you desperately crave, and I’ll start now.

Butler was disgruntled over his contract and did some childish crap leading up to the game. Once Gilmore manned up Alston Jeffrey their WR’s did nothing. We know the “reason why” even if it hasn’t been spelled out for you.

Butler was a liability all season, why was he suddenly going to be good in the final game? Because he played five snaps and made the most memorable singular play in Super Bowl history? That doesn’t make him a consistent game changing player. He wasn’t good in 2017, he hasn’t been all that good since getting paid. The Titans had buyer’s remorse immediately after signing him.

BB not playing Butler being the reason they lost is a BB hater dog whistle.

Go celebrate with them. You know you love it. MeI'll take the 6 Super Bowl victories. Unprecedented. Two of them were all Belichick.

Without Brady the Game Manager we might not even make the playoffs

Yes Troy Brown
Asante started the Chicago game he was talking about. Troy was pressed into action when our DBs were all injured at the same time. Brown was actually a decent DB. And unlike Asante, Brown didn't choke in the biggest moments. He stripped Marlon McCree for the fumble that won us the big "Lights Out" playoff game in San Diego, he caught the crucial long pass over the middle on the winning drive of the 1st SB win over the Rams, he returned a punt for a TD against the Steelers, and he blocked a fg that ended up as a TD as well. The guy always delivered big in Patriot playoff wins. At least 4 times just off the top of my head. I can't think of a single time that Asante has delivered in a Patriot playoff victory, but I do know the time he choked.

Asante should never ever talk about Troy Brown in that fashion. He was never even half the player Troy Brown was.
