Speculation: BB could leave after 2021

There are two issues with this report. 1/McDaniels absolutely has to be next in line. It’s also been reported that the Krafts saw BOB as a potential successor for BB. I don’t see any way they move to Patricia.

2/Brady winning a Super Bowl had to go up BB’s ass sideways. I’d be disappointed if BB is not hellbent on proving TB12 was not the reason for the Pat’s run. BB won’t choose to retire until he wins another Super Bowl.
Actually, BOB as a successor to Belichick makes more sense than either Josh or Patricia. Just make sure he is not given GM responsibilities as well.

I’m not buying Fat Matt as the next coach. He was a disaster in Detroit and the Krafts will have the final say.

He’s one guy 52 other players on the team would take issue with that.
We’ve had superbowl hero’s
Adam Vinatieri, Ty Law, Deion Branch, Julian Edelman, Hightower, James White, Donta Hightower, Stephon Gilmore, Troy Brown, Gronk, Malcolm Mitchell, Teddy Bruschi, Vince Wilfork, Richard Seymour, Malcolm Butler
Its a team sport is Brady a great leader absolutely is he the smartest QB in the NFL with a insatiable desire to win?
Yes he is
Can we win without him yes
We had a winning record with Matt fricking Cassel.
If that team went to the playoffs we might of won the fricking Super Bowl.
"Matt fricking Cassel." went to the ProBowl the following year with Minnesota so he couldn't have been that awful. And the team he took to 11 wins was 16-0 the prior year. That's a five win drop off with esse3ntially the same roster. Not sure what that team has to do with the 2021 Pats though. We need a good QB to win it all, let alone go to the playoffs. I don't understand what your point is.

I think he's trying to say that Brady can't throw and catch the ball at the same time. Idk

Sign me up for BOB as the next HC too, honestly. I like him as a coach. As long as BB is still managing the roster... Though I also saw Mayo mentioned, I love that. Troy Brown in as the OC who replaces Josh. Steve as DC. How cool would that be????

Also, Belichick has walked back his comment about not coaching in his 70s:

The problem for Bill is he will be relentlessly questioned about not keeping Tom. It’s something he’ll have to deal with until Brady is no longer good/retires or Bill makes the Pats contenders. That may be another 3 years and if Tampa remains a contender the pressure will keep building. He treated the media like crap for 20 years and now they smell blood in the water.

We already saw this year Bill was very testy when questioned about the teams record. At some point he may just not want to deal with it.

Cassel made the Pro Bowl with KC in 2010.

If Stewart’s source is accurate, this also shines a new light on Bill not attending the Senior Bowl.

Well, in that case, all these oxygen thieves trying to run BB out of town will have their wish granted, and then we can truly wander the desert as a franchise.

I have no sources ... never talked to Bill... never talked to anyone related to Bill ... never talked to anyone who had talked to Bill so with a grain of salt - I think he's staying 4-5 more years... 48 games ... he's 48 games behind shula on the regular season wins list... If he can straighten things out this season or next, he stays so he can run him down...

For some reason everyone assumes Bill cares about Shula's record... We don't know that

I'm not assuming anything. Just conjecture based on knowing some highly competitive people. Stuff like that matters, despite what they may say to the contrary.

Where there is smote theres fire.

Hard to believe that Kraft was not upset watching what would have been his 7th championship and vocal to Belichick about the decision to let Brady walk. Krafts actions and statements have always been to allow Brady to play until he retires as a Patriot. Belichick says next to nothing, but Linda Holidays tweet about Brady not throwing a TD vs Green Bay in the 2020 NFCC was telling.

Id say its the beginning of the end for BB. Hes been in NE over 20 years. Like Brady, BB has earned the right to leave whenever he decides its time.
