Are the Chiefs in trouble?

He's had a lot of injuries in a very short career. Do not see this guy lasting into his late 30s.

His style of play puts so much stress on his body and shoulder because he is an unorthodox player. Those type of players don't have long careers. He will have to change the way Big Ben and Rodgers did in order to be able to play well into his 30s. It remains to be seen if he can become that type of player though. He relies so much on his physical gifts to save him and his team. He has to learn to trust what he is seeing and live to play another down or another game.

Anyways what in your right mind makes you think that the best QB in the league in a relatively weak conference won't make it back soon, let alone next year, while a team with no QB, no receivers, no TEs, no LBs will be back before the Chiefs?

The "best QB in the league" is injury prone and has two weapons on offense. One of which is an aging tight end on the wrong side of 30. The team is top heavy with most of the money going to a few guys (and Hill) and given Mahomes massive contract there is little room to add sorely needed depth. The history of the NFL is littered with flash in the pan teams who win one and never repeat. The Seahawks being the most recent example. If Jimmy G does not wet himself in quarter four of last year's SuperBowl Mahomes still has zero titles. So to act like this team is a lock, or even likely to win another SuperBowl in whatever short window they have left with their flawed roster construction is just silly. Especially with Brady, Favre and even a vastly improved Rams team still lurking in the NFC. To say nothing of how a Watson trade (and free agency in general) might change the landscape in the AFC. I would not be at all surprised if KC never won another one. They were nearly knocked out of the playoffs by Baker Mayfield, for christ's sake. With his best WR watching from the sidelines.
Like I said, they are in better shape than us right now. But the bill for their short term success is coming soon and they likely turn into the Seahawks, at best, at that point. Meanwhile, we have the best coach in football, a guy that just won 7 games with probably the worst offense in football and several holes on defense. I trust that guy to rebuild a little more than I trust the Chiefs to be a decent team in five years.

If they win another title (or multiple) in the next few years, good for them. But it's completely reasonable to think that they wont. And if they don't. Pats likely beat them to the punch on the next one. Sorry if my opinion was unclear.

The defense surrounded the KC receivers this time. We didn't see wide open uncontested passes being completed this time. I think the "dropped passes" had a lot to do with the Buccs defense. The pass rush was relentless and having starters out contributed. However the Bucs pass rush had figured it out back in the 2nd half of the first game when KC was a lot healthier.

Carroll didn't make the wrong call. Belichick let the clock run to force that play, and the Pats had practiced against it all week. Pure preparation. No other team/coach would have played it like BB did (yet another reason the hate for him on this board is utterly ridiculous).

But what if Butler couldn't make a play on the ball like he did? Because BB put all his chips in and relied on his D to win it. Had Butler not made a play, BB would've been crucified and Brady probably walks a lot sooner than he did. Plenty of talent after the first 29-32 picks. There was no excuse for the Pats taking Harry over Brown, Metcalf, and Samuel who were all clearly better than him. And the way BB maneuvers around the draft constantly allows him to get guys he wants.

Trouble? No. They've got the toughest position in football figured out for the next 15 years. Mahomes will be ok. Every great QB sans Montana has had to sit through tough questions after a SB loss. Brady, Favre, Elway, Marino, Big Ben, Manning, and Kelly.

I also don't think there's a book out on the offense. Or that TB provided a blueprint on stopping an explosive offense. Unless said blueprint includes the opposition having the best defense in football. While said offense is without two all pro guards.

No QB would've won behind center for the Chiefs Sunday. Within one second they were in the backfield.

Thank you. Everyone makes it sound like Mahomes made these amazing throws and the receivers simply dropped them. Lmao. All of those throws were more likely to be picked off than completed. They were all into double or even triple coverages. They were all contested. Some may have hit DBs fingers. We saw how one ended up in the White INT. Mahomes could've just as likely had 2 TD / 2 INT or 0 TD / 5 INT off those throws.

Even in baseball, a great off balance throw (these are baseball throws) is only admired if it results in an out. The throws were stupid, desperation shots.

Contrast those throws with Brady's beautiful clean passes from the pocket to locations where only his receivers had a chance to catch them. It's night and day. One is a "Professional " football player, the other, a talented, athletic freak playing backyard football.

From what I saw, they didn't handle losing very well, losing their cool, getting flagged for personal fouls, acting like dumb asses. They looked soft, got punched in the face, and collapsed. Bucs could've put a forty burger on those chumps but smartly decided to play conservative after Lenny's TD.

To the OP's question: Who GAF. I hope they implode from here on. Any team with that scumbag Tyreek on their roster deserves to lose every time. F*ck the Chiefs and their incestuous pig fans.
