Again, no one has posted that Bill hates Brady.Fair enough. I do not *know* this (meaning, know with certainty. Nor do you, of course). I do think, based on all the evidence available, it's extremely likely that Belichick holds Brady in high regard. I think most other fair and objective observers would feel the same.
Jumping to the conclusion that Belichick hates Brady is also not *known*, flies in the face of the evidence available, and simply reveals one's underlying assumptions/bias.
Bullcrap. Bill Belichick is a human being and he is very much aware of his place in NFL history. He is smart enough to know that his standing suffers somewhat if Brady has a lot of success elsewhere while he struggles and fails. He may not hate Brady but he sure as hell ain't cheering him on.Again, let me be extremely clear: If you think Bill Belichick is actively rooting against, and/or is unhappy about Tom Brady's success, you are dead wrong and should reevaluate the way you understand Belichick, because you're way off-base. If that is the position one is taking, you can effectively be tossed in the garbage-bin with all the folks who've written-off Brady as a player/person simply because he's wearing a different uniform. The two stances are no different, demonstrate clear bias, and undermine any credibility the person has as an objective observer.
It is not going away for a long time as long as either one of them is still playing/coaching.Personally, I would really really hope people can move off of this whole Brady vs. Belichick thing soon. To me, this thing is going to end in a win win for both sides. Brady picked the strongest team to help him win right now cause he doesn't have long left to play in the NFL; BB needed to move off of a 42 year old QB and start a rebuild. 10 years down the road, it is very conceivable that Brady won a bunch of games in Tampa and BB found another QB to have success with. Why do fans insist on bugging BB's girlfriend about this stuff on social media? I am not saying she handled it well or anything, but the fact that some fans are going after her for this stuff is dumb.
So far today I have seen someone claim that people on here are rooting for the Bucs to kill us next year and now your claim that people are "gleeful" Brady has succeeded while we missed the playoff. Funny that neither claim has been backed up by anyone.
The other thing is Bill is a defensive HC. The notion that he developed Brady to the extent people are implying is ridiculous. He played a role for sure but Brady's development is a credit to Brady first and then and Weiss and then McD.
Oh man. That is comedy gold. We knew there was animosity there but it is much bigger maybe than we know with Bill.
Just another example of how the wheels have come off a bit at One Patriot Place.
Stop switching the discussion. Where was that great offense in Cleveland for 5 years from Bill, the offensive minded guru?
They also went into the season with a zero plan at QB which resulted in the worst QBing we have seen since the mid 90s. If you want to stick your fingers in your ears and say it means nothing, have at it but reality says otherwise.
Yep. That is why the saltiness is so thick right now.
Probably because we normally get zlich from Bill or anyone close to him. Just a bunch of snorts and grunts. Like I said, seems the walls are crumbling just a bit at One Patriot Place.
Stop already. You are embarrassing yourself with this. Where was that great offense in Cleveland? Oh right, he didn't have Brady running it.
This is the thing though. That was always the stakes when he Brady left under the circumstances that he left. Bill kind of dug his own grave here with having no QB succession plan which resulted in some of the worst QBing we have seen since the 90s while Brady has been killing it in Tampa and is now in the NFCCG. I am not saying it is right or fair but should not be a surprise least of all to Bill or Linda living in this media market for the past 20 years.

I suggest you get used to it. This is New England. We, as a community, will be talking about Brady vs. Belichick for the rest of your natural life, and then some.Personally, I would really really hope people can move off of this whole Brady vs. Belichick thing soon.
Stalking again I see. Very creepy.Want evidence? Here you go. A laundry list of posts from one particular poster, gleefully dumping on Bill and loudly boasting of the Patriots' struggles, all the while pumping up Brady in a Bucs' uniform.
And these posts don't even scratch the surface ... "tip of the iceberg" type of thing. This is the last couple hours worth of posts from this person; if you looked back over the past few months you could write several books with posts just like these.
If this isn't gleeful revelling, I'm not sure what is.
Since this is about Tom Brady specifically...the GOAT....I'm going to move this to that forum. This just happened yesterday. This is not Brady specific. This is a news story that is breaking today about what she posted in relation to Brady/Bill.
I think this is definitely being overblown. She is a frustrated girlfriend defending someone she loves and I don't blame her for snapping a bit. That being said I don't think it is a major stretch that her comments could mirror Bill's feelings as I am sure she is aware of how he feels about how everything went down. Is it concrete either way? Obviously not but I don’t think anyone can say 100% that either way is wrong or right.Folks are not speculating; they're revelling in the drama, all but certain Belichick hates Brady.
It's nonsense.
And no, I do not know what exactly Belichick thinks, but I feel much more confident that he holds Brady in high regard than I do that he hates Brady.
There is no defense of the sensationalistic gossip in this thread.
Of course, it's entirely unsurprising that the most vocal of the anti-Belichick crowd are the ones here revelling in this story with glee, making the huge jump in assuming because Holliday is frustrated, therefore Belichick must hate Brady.
So knowing you're going to be up against the cap the following year and knowing there was a solid chance Brady would be gone the next year Bill decided to have almost $14 mill in dead money count for Brady if he left? That is good planning?$14M in dead cap simply because Brady left, and more dead cap money for AB and for Gronk. That wasn't poor planning that was taking the medicine of starting the rebuild. AB he was forced to cut.
I don't see a single word about being glad we aren't in the playoffs.Want evidence? Here you go. A laundry list of posts from one particular poster, gleefully dumping on Bill and loudly boasting of the Patriots' struggles, all the while pumping up Brady in a Bucs' uniform.

He has been obsessed with my posts for months. I noticed he is pretty much the psychologist of this forum diagnosing everyone all the time and then showcasing how unbiased he is even though his posts drip with bias and are hypocritical. I suppose every forum has these types.I don't see a single word about being glad we aren't in the playoffs.
The team Bill camp seems to be creating straw men. I haven't seen anyone claiming to be a Patriots fan on here say "I hope the Bucs destroy us next year" or anyone gloating about Brady and happy we missed the playoffs. He has been obsessed with my posts for months. Their only retort it seems is to question fandom which makes no sense. Why wouldn't we be pulling for Brady now with the Pats out and him playing in the conference championship game. It seems odd to me that Pats fans would not be rooting for him.The team Bill camp seems to be creating straw men. I can understand the sentiment, but I think fans also need to understand the situation. The debate of Brady vs Belichick divorce has to be reconciled when all the dust settles, which will probably take 5 years minimum. To summarily say one won or lost based on one year is not smart and there certainly isn't any reason to troll either one of their families for this stuff.I suggest you get used to it.
