NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION WCGT Browns @ Steelers

Tomlin wasted Ben's career.

How he keeps his job crushing post season loss after another is amazing.

That game reminded me of 1985
Pats playoff game versus Miami., on the road. Pats hadn't won there in about 15 years and weren't expected to do so but pulled it out in the AFCCG after having beaten Jets and Oakland on the road ( and going cross country to/fro). Same type of game where Pats got out ot a 10 point lead in the first half (IIRC) and it was never close......and then they ran into the 85 Bears...
which likely will have the same result when the Browns run into the Chiefs next week...but with the playoff win, they are playing "with the house money " now...

roethlisberger and the steelers 3-7 in their last 10 playoff games

those wins were against-
Bungles with AJ McCarron
lolphins with Matt Moore
Chiefs with Alex Smith

so in 10 years theyve won 1 playoff game against a starting qb. LOL

The way the Browns kept snapping the ball way too early with sometimes even 20 seconds on the clock could have come back to bite them in the ass if Tomlin had successfully gone for it on fourth down. I couldn't believe how nobody told Baker to drain the clock more when you are up 4 scores. At that point the time is the most important factor left in the game.

So what this leaves us with are two somewhat simple games for the #1 seeds in both the NFC and AFC and two potentially tight games for the second Championship game berth. Meh.

I noticed the same thing, seemed CLE wasn't concerned with clock (snapping early, running oob), but rather with scoring. It was great to see them being aggressive even with the large lead trying to continue to score.

Wonder if that was the quickest score ever in a playoff game?

Devin Hester returned the opening kickoff of the superbowl for a touchdown against the Colts

"Devin Hester, you are ridiculous!"

Ouch. tbh 2017-2020 is a good case to fire a coach but I doubt they will.

After beating the Jets at home the Pats would have whooped the Steelers in the 2010 AFCCG but...well you know.

Does cleveland have a chance against the chiefs? They sure can score per last night.

Whatever they did to baker mayfield he has improved alot. Shows what a difference in coaching can do to a team

This is beautiful. And for years they had a prime Ben + the best rb and wr . Inexcusable to have only won playoff games in 2 years our of 10

They need players back on d. There was a stretch where Pitt scored on like 4 or 5 drives out of 6 with not being able to run, and Pitts offense sucks. Mahomes would have a field day if it’s similar personnel especially that #34 whoever it is, he was getting shredded

We used to mop the floor with them, year in, year out, because they used these idiotic defensive concepts again and again. In this case Stefanski play design motions RB to top, to force LB coverage on the slot. Then it's Landry who absolutely dusts Spillane, no fault of his own because he's a friggin' LB.

Stefanski, thankfully, took advantage of this friggin system the Steelers refuse to budge from. I think Toilet Bowles gets his inspiration from this.

Christmas came again
Yep...for the Kansas Sh!tty Queefs.
cant believe the browns won. looks like the chiefs get another bye next week
Yep; as soon as the Murderer-Worshippers won, I switchied my rooting interest from the Brownies to the Squealers, because I am a card-carrying member of Anybody But Kermit.

It is an absolute feckin Disgrace that only one team from each conference received a bye...Should've been a one-time-only 8-team format... Those filthy maggot bastards were given the Golden Ticket this year...I hope they suffer career-ending injuries next week...

Great to see an awesome CLE win
Browns were so aggressive and motivated to earn a victory like this

Bravi complimenti !

Kansas City is going to destroy Cleveland. The only question is will Mayfield throw more picks than Mahomes throws touchdowns.
