I wasn't asking specifically about you but more generally around the national media

It is mentioned in passing but not really hit on. Mahomes is a great QB and has a ton of wow plays. He also has a fair amount of misses. Which no one cares about because he converts so much on third and forth down in incredibly ways. His highlight reel is otherworldly, but the reality of what actually happens on the field doesn't live up to it often. This year KC is scoring a lot but not amazingly at 30.1 PPG. The year before they did 28.6 PPG. Granted Mahomes missed some games, but you are in part responsible for the games you miss. His style of play puts him more at risk. They year before they did an amazing 35.3. However that was the year where they kind of took the league by surprise. Hill/Kelce/Mahomes/Watkins/Hunt. Add in Reid's innovations and the league just wasn't ready for it. Since then though Mahomes has been more human.

Dumbest comparison I’ve heard in a while
Well that guy is not actually a Patriots fan. He’s even admitted it. Only reason he roots for this team is because of Bill. He used to be a Browns fan and then started rooting for the Pats when Bill came here. It’s all very... sus.

What's the status on Evans? While with the re-emergence of Antonio Brown a potential loss of Evans in the wild card would not hurt too much it might impact their chances down the line against the NFC's top teams if they want to make (and win) the Super Bowl.
Arians said that they believe there is no major damage. So they may have him ready for the divisional round IF they advance which is a big IF. Playoff football anything can and will happen.

I think the Lakers repeat easily.
As long as they avoid the Clippers (will they choke again?) I don't know what it is, but they really struggle against them and Leonard/George have the game of their lives whenever they play.

I wouldn’t worry about them in the playoffs. Those two will find a way to gag on a fat one.

If Evans can make his way back semi-healthy, this offense is going to be nearly impossible to stop. I haven’t seen Brady have these these types of easy chunk plays since 2007 and at times in 2012 and 2016. They’re lining up Evans on the outside and having him run comebacks that a single corner can’t defend, and a safety still needs to account for him.

Then they have both AB and Godwin running inside routes from the other side of the formation. You basically can’t single cover Brown, and it’s ultimately causing a linebacker to shift to Godwin. If you bracket Godwin with DBs, Brown is feasting on a nickel corner and also has spacing as Evans and Godwin draw defenders away from him.

Still a damn good offense without Evans but a next level game-plan advantage with him.

Sure hope so, I can't stand the Clippers. I want to see Leonard abandoned these guys in the offseason.

Anybody admitting they're a Clippers fan out here in LA would get laughed out of the room or probably be asked to leave.

A pass rush like the Saints will be their kryptonite. If they can avoid them, I think they have a good shot.

At what percent? Knee injuries are rarely minor. Especially when it comes to WRs.

A pass rush like the Saints is every pocket passer’s kryptonite. The only thing that changes this time is that the Bucs will have Marpet and they seem to have embraced the shorter stuff. In the last contest, they had Brady chucking bombs while the OL was getting slapped around like a Sicilian housewife.

I thought this was the case too but not sure now.

Tampa has changed their entire approach with Godwin and Brown running horizontal routes most snaps, Evans running intermediate, higher percentage comebacks and outs, and running backs not being targeted much. The ball comes out quickly by design. Brady is finally at a point where he knows what he’s doing pre-snap.

This is a huge contrast to their previous approach.

Good, I don't want to see the boring Saints in the Super Bowl. In fact, they could choke as early as next weekend.

I would love to see Tom win #7 this year. But I just don't think Tampa has a SuperBowl caliber defense. Maybe if they can fix the secondary in the offseason and get a real HC.

Minor here means no torn ligaments or cartilage. Even if true u likely he’s back next week, but would be a good possibility for round 2.

Too bad they're not doing the same with the defense. That crappy cover 2 zone scheme is going to sink their ship.

It’s such a bad scheme.

Ariens will find a way to lose, he always does.

Too bad they can't fire Pigface and Bowels right now...let Brady run the offense and the towel boy run the D...in fact pull someone off the street. Bowels "D" schemes are infantile dreck, puke and fecal failures. But Pigface? Pigface needs to be shipped off to Armour Meats and converted into slab bacon. Get some kind of compensation back for this pig human moron.

I bet he plays next week. He was playing on a severely hurt ankle earlier in the season.
