Official Post Game Thread- Bills beat the Pats

Is Bill going to pay Thuney? I'd bet against it.
That's a fair question...they paid him this year...We are better with him, that's for sure....A question for you, would you let him walk and use the money elsewhere or pay him and if you paid him, would you move him to Center and let Andrews walk or resign Andrews and keep Thuney at Guard?

This team should have seen the writing on the wall and not won meaningless games. They could have picked top 5 and got someone like Wilson or Chase. 7-9/6-10 is no mans land in the nfl

Thats how you build a locker room and culture full of losers.

Look at Miami, they were atrocious last year and then went on a 5 game winning streak at the end of the year. They weren't focused on tanking games to improve draft position, they worked on building chemistry and becoming a better team.. and now they're 10-5 in playoff contention

Building a winning culture means something. You don't build winning cultures by intentionally losing games just for an off-chance that some 21 year old rookie out of college is going to come in and save your franchise... that is lunacy, and if I was on a team like that I'd want to be out of there so fast! You would completely lose a locker room if you did something like that.

Well... uh I guess Sony ran hard when they gave him the rock. JC Jackson should not get his big payday here. Diggs torched him

Even Stephon Gilmore gets torched occassionally, Davante Parker made a fool of him last year.

Doesn't mean they shouldn't be paid, JC Jackson is a very consistent player for us and is still really young. We should be switching to younger stars and moving on from players like Gilmore, McCourty, etc

There was an article on Boston.com (I think) that mentioned Newton's workout routine which is insane. Guy busts his ass but the alarming part is no matter how hard he trains it just isn't relating to results on the field. As far as I am concerned the guy is just done as a QB. He is Tim Tebow bad.
Cam used to be pretty good. Probably good enough to win a Super Bowl with the Pats back in those days.

From his 15 - 1 season and a cast of WRs and TEs that arent that impressive IMO.

Corey Brown 447 yds - 4 TDs
Ted Ginn 739 yds - 10 TDs
Jerricho Cotchery 485 yds - 3 TDs
Greg Olsen 1104 yds - 7 TDs
Devin Funchess 473 yds - 5 TDs

Cam had 35 passing TDs and 10 INTs and 10 rushing TDs for the regular season.

Depends on the value of the cap space I have and how much each player wants and what each receives in offers from other teams. Thuney is a better and more versatile player, but center is crucial. I'd probably pay Andrews up to 3 yrs/$27m with $10m guaranteed and let Thuney go if he wants something like 5 yrs/$80m, half guaranteed.

Newton was a stud back in the day. We can all agree the receivers are awful and even though BB thought it was a brilliant idea to run an offense with no TEs Newton is still awful.

Newton could have Diggs, Kelce, Hopkins, Hill and Hopkins I still don't think he could put up good numbers. At this point if Newton had someone that was wide open it would be 50/50 he throws pass that someone can catch.

Im no QBs coach, but Cams throws off his toes like its a basketball pass.

Newton was never a very good passer. He was a running QB. His completion % with the Pats is one of his highest ever.

Bill's press conference was the MOST depressing Pats press conference I have ever seen in over 50 years as a football fan. Bill seems like he might go out and hang himself. Would not give Josh Allen any major props. I really feel like BB needs to take a break from football. He was slumped in his chair like he was a 16 year old adolescent getting ready to play call of duty.
Same impression I got- pure dread. Dude could not have seemed more miserable if he tried.

As those who have been on game day chat have seen, I've been one of the most outspoken critics of Cam's play this year. That being said, I think it's really unfair to question his work ethic, toughness, and heart. The guy clearly cares, and he is very obviously a very physically tough guy, he just can't pass anymore. He had a nice career, but it's over now and time to find someone else that can do the job. I wish the guy well and appreciated especially the toughness that he brought to the field this year.

If that cam was still around he’d still be with the Panthers.

1 more rushing TD and Cam breaks the all time rushing QB record on the Pats. Let's go !!
Seeing Stidham go 4/11 tells me Cam isn't the root problem on offense.

I would feel bad for him if someone else created this mess for him to coach but he 100% did this himself. His drafting has been awful for years. I still don't understand how he thought rolling with the same abysmal receivers and zero tight ends with a QB that no one wanted would be anything but an awful season.

I love BB as a coach but I have zero confidence of him fixing this team as a GM. BB has had so many misses in the draft it could be years before this team is competitive again.

How do we know that Cam is a hard worker? Because Bill says so? He's the same guy telling us that Cam's a QB and we all know that's a lie.

As for Cam's heart and toughness, many would claim that he failed that test when he shied away from a key fumble in SB 50.

First Bill smashed the MicroSoft Surface. Then last night he smashed a phone.

He seems to be working his way down the technology ladder. Next week he will probably smash one of those morse code tapper things......

I guess we don't know for sure he is a hard worker. As to toughness, I'm satisfied based on what I've seen from him on the field this year that he is physically tough, and I appreciate guys that play tough. I'm not going to hang the guy for one bad play from years ago.

All that being said, he has been a disaster in every other on field aspect. I just read that he has the lowest TD percentage of any QB in 25 years. That's about as bad as it gets. He doesn't see the field well, doesn't read defenses well, and is very inconsistent hitting even wide open guys. I would have benched him 5 games ago, and I really don't care if Stidham has shown it in practice or not- because it was obvious this team was going nowhere with Cam. He is done as an NFL player, and that includes being a backup. He's out of the league next year.

My excitement for the game pretty much ended after the Byrd drop. The 2 dropped Buffalo TDs early didn't make it any better, as I believe in Byrd, but that took a big hit. Everyone on the team seems to be Jekyll and Hyde - but mostly the latter. That being said, I'm onto NY (after watching last night's game twice - thanks to 2x speed), which I'm looking forward to, regardless of whether or not Good Pats or Bad Pats play. Hoping for Stidham to get that full week of practice for the start, Meyers' first TD after going over 1k yds for his short career, and 3 punts for Gunner to officially put him in best punt return season (Y/R) in Pats history.

Easy. ABMC.....anybody but McDaniels and Cesario. Maybe get Daboll to take on head coach role and have Bill move to President of Giants. Or how about Eric Bienemy? There are creative minds out there for the right position.
It just took yr for us to fire the whole core and do what the rest of the league is doing ? BB has developed the internal coaching over yrs. Josh has his moments in the game but he is also trying all kinda tricks to move the ball. It doesnt help if harry asiasi byrd drop catches or Cam has no touch in his passing game. Do you think daboll or bienemy would make this playoff roster?
They took their medicine which they havent in 20 yrs. We arent used to it as fans but 31 other teams have gone through this .
