Patriots trade for dolphins Isaiah Ford [released 12/5]

This settles it: Dolphins are fish.

What number does he get?

Too bad he can't play Monday night...Curious to see what he & Donte Moncrief eventually I hope can bring to the room...
I wouldn’t count on much from a guy the Dolphins thought highly enough of to trade him within the division.

Which makes Bill's decision to give up a pick for him instead of for Dante Pettis even more frustrating; Bill wanted to have his cake and eat it too.

Meanwhile we sign Moncrief who dropped 4 passes against us at the home owner a couple of years ago

Sources tell me he was not able to procure nudes of BB in time to stay on the team.

Ford was brought in to play the slot, but for whatever reason that never materialized. None of those that have been rotated there seem to be great slot options, all being better fits outside.

FWIW, Rotowire has snap counts that differentiate snaps outside or in the slot, as well as left or right side. It's too bad I can't find a similar breakdown on a game-by-game basis.

Snaps - Player - Outside - Slot
654 --- D Byrd ---- 534 -- 120
390 --- Harry ----- 129 --- 252
382 --- Meyers ---- 61 --- 294
265 --- Edelman --- 33 --- 227
88 ---- Gunner ----- 25 --- 62
5 ----- Moncrief ----- 3 ---- 2

The fact that Ford could not overtake Harry for snaps in the slot speaks volumes.
