As to D, that's just as likely to cause players to play fewer total seasons in a career as it is to cause TD throws to magically happen. Games are games, and there are only so many in a given body. It's true that QBs are better protected now than they ever have been, and that may help. But the NFL is still a rough place.
Sure but they'll be the occasional player that'll have exceptional longevity.

It's ironic to think that when it comes to reg season, Marino and Favre's records held up for awhile. While NFL prince Manning only held it for a year or so before Brees started breaking them. Now Brees records are starting to get beaten by Brady even before retirement or soon after. It sure looking like Brady will make it to his goal of playing in the year he turns 45. That's 2 more season after this.

I cant stand this goof.

I'm just curious why? I don't know much about him except from highlights as he seems to be making lots of big plays. He is actually very impressive. One of a kind player. He plays TE, FB, RB, WR, and QB. it seems he got paid 17mil based on the other positions he plays, not just backup QB.

Hill is what Tebow could have become if he was interested in being a football player and one which could revolutionize the game by how he was used - instead of a brand disguised as a quarterback.

I actually think exploring this option with Tebow is the real reason why the Patriots brought him aboard in the first place. And they eventually cut him because they discovered his love for the game of football wasn't what it seemed on the surface.

It really isn't his fault is more the way the media gushes over him and the fact he got paid over $20 million dollars to play 15-20 plays a game. Honestly if he was here I would probably love him but he plays elsewhere and I am a jerk lol.

I'm pretty sure it's because of the way he carries himself after a play. He does kind of act like a jack***.

He's taking his diapers off Sunday, lets see how he does as a full time player.

Kind of OT...

Tampa is doing all right these days in sports. Lightning won the Stanley Cup. Rays won the American League pennant. Bucs signed Brady and are doing well. And now the Toronto Raptors will be calling Tampa home at least for the 2021 season because they aren't allowed to cross the border to play in Toronto. lol

I am intrigued after watching his command performance in the last game. I would tune in to see what he does. Although typically, I would have to wait.

You will see the brilliance of Payton I think.
Just like last year with Teddy.
Brees is very limited in what he can do given he can't go vertical. Hill can and Winston too. The Saints offense could really explode with a Qb that can push the ball down field.

first of all, Taysom Hill is starting this week. Took all the first team reps.Winston is the #2 and is not expected to see ANY action.

Secondly,......"As for Hill, he has attempted just 18 passes in 46 career regular-season games, and completed 10 of those for a total of 205 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. Through nine games this season, he has completed 4 of 5 passes for 86 yards. " You see "brilliance!!!" here? Are you a Saints suck-up or what?

I think Payton is a brilliant offensive coach. He didn't get nearly enough credit for going 5-0 with Teddy last year. Hill does not have much of a Qb resume but Payton has been grooming him. I am looking forward to watching what Payton does with him.
FWIW - I have read several reports that both Hill and Winston will play.

Per ESPN tonight...."We do know, for this week anyway, a source told ESPN’s Dianna Russini, that Winston will not be part of any offensive packages unless needed because of injury."...

And now with Brees on IR, he is out a minimum of 3 weeks.

With the rule changes favoring offences, all these regular season passing records will be broken in no time. The only records that will stand the test of time for Brady are the ones that count, playoff records.
I can't see another QB going to 9 super bowls or winning 6.
The records that are possibly vulnerable are those associated with total games played as the seasons will get longer and longer.
The record that will definitely stand forever is the 19 straight years that the Pats had the best record in their division. That one's untouchable.

That's crazy. The Raptors are my team.

I see what your saying. But I notice NO is very successful with all these gadget and trick plays cause of Hill. And teams have to plan for it. NO has won lots of close games cause of these plays.

Now that Taysom is QB1, it will be interesting to see if Jameis comes in to be part of those plays.

Meh, I'd say playing in an Arena League stadium for 70% of your games and not seeing heavy rain, wind, or snow for years on end might be a tad bit more of an advantage than 11 games.
That's the most amazing part of Brady's amazing career. I don't know the numbers, but how many more games has he played in cold weather, outdoor stadiums compared to other QBs? I'd be willing to bet that Brady's numbers are also better indoors.

Man, calm down. Seems Max is just slightly in your head. LOL.
I thought you brought him up this time.
If that dipstick's name and comments didn't come up here I'd NEVER see them.

On the deep balls, Tompa's priority is/has always been "avoid interceptions" at the expense of completions.

Jameis Winston valued completions more

Will Bruce Arians try to recondition Tompa? Break him of his Belichickian conservatism?
