With the rule changes favoring offences, all these regular season passing records will be broken in no time. The only records that will stand the test of time for Brady are the ones that count, playoff records.
If I had the time, or was one of those people who run football analytics sites, I would create a metric comparing how every QB performed relative to their peers in any given year, and use that metric to quantify who is statistically the best (please note that "statistically the best" does not equal "the GOAT").

Off the top of my head, I'd bet Baugh, Unitas and Marino would sure give a lot of fellas a run for their money.

But still let's give credit where credit is due. Brees is an all time QB. He's not on TBs level but who is? Brees is definitely an all time great.
He is right now, but his legacy will diminish over time as more and more QBs pass his stats. The playoff accomplishment that TB, BB, NE are what sets them apart. I hope that when all is said and done, that they can continue to add to it.

I am not so sure about that. Brady plans to play past this contract which means if he plays for the next 3 seasons then he will be somewhere around 660+ TDs and 90,000 yards. Those are mind boggling stats. Right now Rodgers is at 390. He will most likely end this season at age 37 with around 400. That still puts him 260 TDs behind Brady. Mahomes is at 100 TDs but you have to wonder given he just got paid a half a billion dollars if he will play nearly as long as Brady or if his body will hold up. In reality, Brady is in his third career right now. He had his 20s as his first career, and then his second career in his 30s and now he is in his 4th season in his 40s. And he has been in his prime the entire time. No real drop off other than maybe last year when his supporting cast was complete junk. Another QB will not only have to match that production but also match the longevity of playing that well, that long and staying basically injury free. What Brady is setting in the records books is a marathon for someone to beat. Even with the rules and expanded regular season, it would take monumental effort and a lot of luck for it to happen.

One other note - Max Kellerman is not wrong about the cliff. He was just wrong about Brady. Favre fell off at age 40. Brees was falling off last year at age 40. Manning was done at age 39. The outlier is Brady who is doing things never done before by any QB.

They have some serious cap issues after this season. Assuming the cap goes down they will be over the cap by plenty. This likely could be his last chance at a championship.
They will be pinched for sure but most teams will next year. The thing is Payton has a QB transition plan in place with Winston and Hill. He has Hill on a great contract for someone who can get him chunk yards every game and can also fill in some at QB. Then he has Winston who if he plays decent these next few games, he can sign for a nice middler contract. That will give him a great bridge at QB until he finds his next franchise guy at QB or he could possibly develop Winston into that guy if he can get him to play within the system and cut down the turnovers. Now compare that to what Bill did with the Pats. We have 2 QBs who are worthless - Hoyer and Stid and then we have Newton who we will be forced to pay because we have nothing else at the position. The transition from Brady was completely and totally botched.

Of course, you're 100% completely WRONG. Max Cliffterman specifically made direct reference to Tom Brady and his "cliff". There was no "outlier" mea culpa on Crackpoterman's part. He made a DIRECT, UNEQUIVOCAL ASSERTION mentioning"cliff" and Tom Brady hundreds and hundreds, if not thousands of times. Seems like you are some kind of rarity around here, defending Max Wrongerman. That's as bad as defending Ted Wells, Bill Nye the Science Guy and Mike Kensil.

LOL. I am not defending Kellerman's bogus take on Brady, just the opposite. I think you need to listen to him again. Every single time he would talk about his cliff theory he would say he was basing it on the history of the position and he would talk about Manning and Favre and others. That was his basis for saying Brady would fall off the cliff. He was wrong about Brady but not wrong about what typically happens at the position when guys approach age 40.

and YOU are missing the point...why I have no clue. No one in AMERICA ever heard about "the cliff!" until Maxipaderman invented it. Any NFL fan of any age knows that QB declines as the player ages. NO ONE has ever affixed "the cliff" to a specific player and pounded and hounded the public with his idiotic postulation, going on six years now, like Maxipad. One more thing, a FEW times he brought up what he was basing his cliff theory on, when he first started in on this idiocy. He was roundly castigated and destroyed by Michael A. Smith and others. 90% of his subsequent "cliff!" statements contain ZERO reference to other QB's, just Tom Brady. Seems you've picked this particular hill to die on, General Custer...have at it. I'm headed back to Fort Reality.

Man, calm down. Seems Max is just slightly in your head. LOL.

I'll give you that it probably will take about 10 years or so before his regular season records fall but fall they will. Just consider:
A. In his 20s he sat the 1st year and lost 1 year to injury. Also, in his 1st 5 years, he was more of a game manager and QB stats in the league were way lower than now.
B. NE had an above average to elite defense for all his years there. So they often had the lead and went conservative and TB didn't often pad Qb stats like many good QB do on teams with bad defenses. That is why QBs like Brady and Rodgers stats are lower than they otherwise would be, and Wilson and Brees are higher.
C. The protection given to QBs will afford more QBs playing into their early 40s like Brees and with less injuries. I agree it won't be at the level of Brady though and as not as old as Brady.
D. Lastly, they'll be going to 17 games soon. And probably in 5 years, it will be 18. Over a 20 year period, that is an extra 3 seasons.

As to D, that's just as likely to cause players to play fewer total seasons in a career as it is to cause TD throws to magically happen. Games are games, and there are only so many in a given body. It's true that QBs are better protected now than they ever have been, and that may help. But the NFL is still a rough place.

Man the Tebow wing nuts had nothing on you!

I cant stand this goof.

Hmmm...
If Hill does well, it may help ease Brees into retirement.
If Hill does poorly, it may help Tampa win the division.

It's the Falcons. All they need to do is run Kamara at them and they should do fine
