I guess we lead the league in slot receivers.

Great....another guy who won’t be able to get any separation!!!!!

Seems like he should fit in just fine with all our other receivers.

So, narrowed down to a personnel exec from either the bills or jets. 50% chance whoever said that is blind and drunk.

A personal executive who doesn’t notice a starting slot receiver in his own division should not admit that he sucks at his job.
Or perhaps - in both cases - the personnel executive who traded for him...

Based on the highlight reels alone maybe not the most exciting move , but he looks like a decent player , give him a chance.

He ran a 4.58 at his Pro Day. That's onlyu .06 slower than Edelman. It's 0.07 faster than Welker.

But please. Keep on making fun of the guy.. It brings OH so much to the thread..
At least some of the remarks are done with humor.

The thing I noticed with players like Jules, Troy Brown and Welker is that they have a real sense for the open spaces and can delay or speed up and gain yards after they get the ball. James White also has that and so did Aaron Hernandez. It's one of the things that I don't see from Gunner though and it isn't something that can be taught.

I think we need to get used to the cheap shots after 20 years of domination.

What fans think doesn’t matter.
These are professional athletes with short careers putting take out there every week that will determine their future. Tell them to quit and los on purpose and you have no team. The colts fired the coach and gm. They didn’t win shot with luck.

How does Mr Do Your Job, Mr No Days Off tell players to los on purpose and have any credibility? Why would you want anyone in the organization that would go along with throwing games?

Telling professional players they sick and need to throw games so you can cheat your way to drafting some college kid who is going to save you is a sure failure. Any free agent will leave in a heartbeat and no new free agents will come here.
Trevor Lawrence would be surrounded by a crap team and end up being David carr, and belichick would be fired.
The same type of fan that condones tanking is the same type that will make excuses for why it didn't work, which is what always happens. All that does is create a culture of losing.

I'll never forget the stunned look on the faces of Jeff Saturday and PEDton Manning after they were told to sit down with a chance to go 15-0 in 2009, so that Indy could tank against the Jets and knock the Steelers out of the playoffs. It knocked the Steelers out but it didn't keep Manning from throwing a pick six to end the SB.

Then there was the Suck for Luck campaign a couple of years later, which led to nothing but a short career for Luck, who wasn't as good as his press clippings anyway.

Here we are now, a decade after two of the biggest tank jobs of all time by Indy, and they're in the hunt for a playoff spot because they went out and got a proven QB after all that time of losing.

I think the Pats, and other great dynasties, are the best example of why tanking doesn't work and winning does. Usually, losers stay losers and winners stay winners. That's why the NYFL has the same teams making it most years.

You always want you 6th or 7th round pick to simply make the roster.

So... I don't really understand the bellyaching about the trade. It is a minor deal, he was almost free, and he was, yes, a guy about to be cut. Miami was shopping for anything small they could get.

So an exec in the division does not care for Ford.

What exec in this division other than Belichick has any credibility?

The Bills, Dolphins, & Jets have been cellar dwellers for years.

Buffalo is improved, but we still almost beat them during our rebuilding year.
In the last decade all three of those teams have made the playoffs and beaten the Pats in big games. Sanchez, Tannehill, Fitzpicksix and Allen were the QBs. They've also had a decent record outside of the division for a couple of decades. The weak AFCE is a myth.

I look at late round picks both ways. They're good to have because it gives you an up close look at a player and locks the good ones in, but they're good to trade for a proven player because the draft is a crap shoot anyway.

I think the Pats' HC is upset at the GM for not giving him enough weapons and the GM is working on it.

Patriots scoring will soar
