Article: The Patriots' Tight End Problem is Becoming Critical

Zero targets and zero catches for any tight ends. Completely idiotic by McDaniels to put Asiasi inactive.

Pats remain last in the entire league in TE receptions.

.
Izzo also snagged an NFL pass today
Your hot-take needs fine tuning

"New England's group of tight ends is even worse. The Patriots had the fewest receptions by tight ends of any team last season. That's the case in 2020, too, with Patriots tight ends hauling in only six passes through six weeks. Ryan Izzo. who was a seventh-round draft pick in 2018, leads Pats tight ends with six receptions for 82 yards."

Dalton Keene caught a pass today. Last I checked he plays TE for your New England Patriots.
Thanks
I must have missed this one late in the game during garbage time. So update then the Pats have 7 total TE catches all year, not 6. Still dead last in the entire league
Yeah I saw that catch too, during the first half IIRC so I thought that maybe he would see more targets as the game progressed...But sadly as we've seen far too often with Skippy calling the plays, what worked once is never tried again for the rest of the game...

Having a tight end attack the middle of the field is absolutely critical. Look at all the good offenses. They all have good tight end action and a key part of the passing game.

So we are celebrating when a TE catches a pass in this thread?

McDaniels decides on the inactives now ? Is he the head coach ? Your ******** agenda about McDaniels being the person who decides who the Pats draft isn’t enough (without facts to back your insane claim) ? Now we are on to inactives ? You’re a loon.

i would love to understand ehy the 2 kids don’t play. one of the most bizarre things thus year.

Yes totally crazy Asiasi played 5 games without a single target, then was made inactive in game 6. Getting a player into the game plan or not is on the OC. It's ultimately Belichick but he delegates a ton to his staff.

.

That's how bad it's gotten, haha. This and also people trying to say the Pats draft WRs as well as the Steelers... just laughable.
PITT drafts WR's better NE. [they clearly do]
Therefore, the patriots totally suck at drafting overall, and are one of the worst in the league. [totally untrue]

Is that your argument?

I've never made the second argument. But they've completely blown it at developing WRs or TEs ever since O'Brien left (Gronk and Edelman were O'Brien's tenure).

Cam sucks, Stidham has chicken blood running through his veins, he is skittish in the pocket and throws INT's.

Weapons don't matter if you have nobody to throw to them.

Stidham is unfortunately an interception machine. He isn't the answer.

Keene played more snaps than Izzo, and had a catch. The needle is pointing up. Small steps. .

Peyton Manning had 28 Ints. as a rookie. It takes time for "maturity in the pocket" to develop. Be patient young Skywalker.

Lol Peyton was the first overall pick. Stidham is a 4th rounder in his second season.
