Melvin Gordon busted for DUI last night

Seriously, if he broke protocol and was out at a bar the league should NOT allow him to play Sunday as he could unknowingly be coming down with bat flu that could spread to the patriots & other Donks.

To be fair if you've been drinking what else are you going to do? Take an uber like the common rabble?

As long as he had stopped pounding them 10 minutes before he got in the car he was good to drive, you freakin liberals.

How else are you getting home? Take the bus??!! Ha!
Those guys need to retake Celebrity 101 training, the part about why you have a posse so there‘s someone else to drive when you’re in the bag. Doesn’t need to be a designated driver, designated offender will do fine as long as it‘s not you.

Ah - the Chris Carter method. Always have a fall guy.

Ah, the conundrum of 2020. Risk getting a DUI, or risk getting Coronavirus.o_O

It's odd that thousands of NYFL players who don't wear masks, are tested constantly, don't live in a "bubble" and come in close contact as humanly possible with each other, have so few cases of the virus and no hospitalizations. I wish someone could explain to me how that's possible with such a deadly and contagious virus.

Quit with the politics crap in here. This is pathetic and we don't want it.

I think the more pertinent discussion for this forum is how does the NFL navigate through the Covid environment for the rest of the season. So far it's been a bit of a cluster **** but I also understand everyone is learning along the way. We'll see. I also expect the protocols to change week to week and the possibility of the season extending into March.

To me the numbers or statistics are somewhat irrelevant because the NFL is going to set its policy based on however it can protect itself legally, politically and socially.

I was responding to a virus comment that was here. Maybe you missed that.

Thanks Tony. I didn't mean to offend anyone but I saw someone mention the virus and was wondering about it.

I think the NYFL is hell-bent on getting as many games in as possible and finishing on time. I think they'll have no problem dropping games or filling the spots that may open up. I'm sure there are plenty of prospects that would come right in and suit up if given the chance.

We'll never hear from the NYFL about how or why they do things. We'll get lip service from them just like we always have. Even with the latest flap over the Pats game being cancelled while the Bills-Titans was played, we got a load of legal mumbo-jumbo.

As for the DUI thing with Gordon, as always it will depend on which team it is or how important the player is to the team. I think he's safe.

I didn't see it in this thread. I'm just sick and tired of threads deteriorating. Talk football and I'm 100% down. My political opinions have no place here. Your political opinions have no place here.

Wonder how the personal conduct clauses in his contract address dui?

does goddell have a chat with him at some point.

I read that his 4.5 million 2021 salary is voided by the DUI.
That is an expensive party he had last night.

FWIW, the guarantees void, but the salary itself generally doesn't.

There's money thrown around by the millions of dollars to keep these guys uninfected. What's amazing to me is that they can still manage to find the virus despite all the crap being thrown against the wall to stop that from happening.

I don't see why there's such a stink about this....so he likes to drink a little gin. He IS a Gordon after all.
Better than being a Beefeater I suppose...

According to Profootball talk Gordon was sent home sick on Friday !

How can the Broncos suspend Gordon when he has not been arraigned and entered his plea? Innocent until proven guilty, no? Kraft was not prohibited in the least under this premise.

So, the Broncos dont let Gordon play and take his money only to find out later that DUI charge didnt stick.
