Difficult to see how the Bucs won't end up winning the division given how mediocre the Saints look. Not sure much would change even with Thomas on the field.

The reason I give the Bucs a better chance is that I think their offense will just get better with time. Especially as Godwin and Evans get healthier.

Nothing the Saints have done this season (including the first win against the Bucs) has looked particularly impressive.

All just gut feeling.

Looks like the game tonight is a go.

Tonight will tell us a lot about the Bills. If their defensive struggles are a trend and not an early season fluke, I don't see why the Patriots can't win the AFCE.

I'm not at all impressed with the NFC South. The Saints got lucky last night and are in first place now. Meanwhile, the Bucs have their own issues. Their offensive line is a mess, Brady is showing his age, and they have numerous injuries. It's a toss up as to who'll win that division but my money goes to the Saints once Michael Thomas plays as he is a game changer. Tampa has no coaching as we've seen.

To me Brees looks cooked. Despite everything Brady already looks like the best QB in that division and things will most likely get better with time if Evans and Godwin can get (and stay !!) healthy. Is he on the same level as 2017 ? Hell no, but with a loaded offense he can still do a lot of damage.

I agree on the coaching though. Arians' clownshow of penalties might in the end break their back.

Not sure what point you are making in bringing up how much the Saints are playing their players as if that means anything. And now it's about assimilation, still? He played well against the Chargers and Broncos, and then somehow the following week it's about him not "assimilating" with his teammates yet? Give me a break.

Pretty obvious that Brady misses Bill a lot more than either he or the Bradyites want to admit. Think he'd make mental errors like forgetting 4th down if he was still here? Not a chance.

Few mental errors, other than forgetting it's 4th down and a bunch of pick sixes? Like I said, Brady threw 8 touchdowns against Denver and LAC. His numbers overall are not much better than Gardner Minshew's. And there are a least 15 players with a higher completion %...pro bowl level this year, he is not.

Actually Brady's passer rating and QBR are worse than Minshew. Brady is 21st in the league in QBR and 16th in passer rating.

I wonder if the Bucs record would be any worse if Winston was still there.

I think I read somewhere that the Chargers have lost 13 out of the last 15 one score games since last year. Not a good reflection on Anthony Lynn and his coaching staff.

I've read postings from Chargers fans that he needs to go. And if that happens, Bienemy would be a great HC for such a young team with highly skilled young offensive pieces.

Also, Brady is playing on a new team with new weapons, new system with no OTAs, preseason, injured players etc. Comradery/chemistry takes time...no excuses; just plain facts. Brees has been playing in that same exact system since 2006...
