Im Shocked, Shocked.

Funny thing is, if you read the Texans' boards, the one thing that they all agree with regarding filling the vacancies is no more fishing for replacements from the Patriots' pond.

Yup. We can make fun of the Krafts all we want. Still the best owners in the game.
Not a huge brag. They are competing w the likes of Cleveland, Indy, NYJ, ATL, Raiders, Jax, Texans... all total pieces of feces.

I don’t have a lot of respect for Kraft. It mostly stems from his addiction to being in the in-crowd (the 32, celebs, baby face gfs) and his fake good guy persona. I might be in the minority.

He is better than Irsay. Weeeeeeeeeee.

Yes. That’s their problem. Hahaha. They had KC and they blew it. They’ve squandered years of « having more talent than most teams ».

Ownership loves Easterby to the point he was given personnel responsibilities. Needn’t go much further. Maybe they can search local MegaChurches for the next GM.

Let him go. Bring in someone who can find Cam a Wr

Does WR / Receiving TE excellence guarantee SB success ?

No, but not having good ones makes winning more difficult unless you also have a 1st-ballot HOF QB who can make chicken salad out of them.

Every time a coach or front office person is rumored to leave, the world is coming to an end. And it NEVER happens. I believe Dante Scarnecchia is a legitimate HOF candidate. Yet, the offensive line this season, under some adverse conditions, has been very good, in my mind.
Except there is some teeth to this one because the Patriots filed tampering charges against the Texans last season. Caserio can hit the bricks for all I care. BB picks the groceries at the end of the day anyway.

To be fair, that's because the Patriots saw what happened the first time and decided to have assistants (Popovich and Bricillo) to train under him.

Agree with your first sentences but maybe Scar was SO good that his legacy is strong enough momentum for a couple seasons.
Patriot culture, absent a total future revolution, will always be value to team based good fiscal cap management. Talent misjudgement aside.
Draft mismanagement takes a few years to become obvious. This homer believes we could use some serious upgrade in draft assessment, particularly with WRs
Googs tried to change the system, too. Bricillo and Popovich are committed to maintaining Scar's system, too. (And I think he might still be helping them grocery shop, so to speak.)

But we are judging personnel decision made with the GOAT on the roster. Surely had he not been here they wouldn’t have taken the same approach to the position that goes hand in hand

By what measure? Because they hired belichick?
I asked that question too and got a non-answer saying he's better than Irsay and Snyder.

So we ask again: who are the top 5 owners in the league and why do you say Kraft is the best?

Kraft has won 6 Superbowls because he hired the best coach in NFL history Bill Belichick. So Kraft has won more rings than any other NFL owner has.

Yes, you're right and I think that supports my point.

* thinks the answer to every statement and question no matter how nuanced is "6 Super Bowls"

I saw it in another thread—someone was questioning the Patriots' ability to draft WR's, and got the same response: "6 Super Bowls" (we know). It'd be nice to see a semblance of thought beyond the blatantly obvious.

You say that but what owner would you prefer over Kraft? You mentioned Khan, but he at least has the luxury for money not to be an issue. Spanos is a cheap prick. York let the players outrun the coach. Jerry needs to be in control. Green Bay has no owners. The Saints owners have the Church scandal. Mara hid his kickers spousal abuse and also got way too sentimental with Eli. Detroit has a history of pissing off generational talent.
